Empire Pizza & Pub reviews
21This place has great pizza and phenomenal wings. The combo slice with soda is enough to fill you up and it's only $7! I came for the wings, but unfortunately, the fryer was not working so I settled for a slice of pepperoni. Still good and has a big bar in the back
Literally the best pizza I've had in AZ! Been searching for a real East Coast pizza forever since I came out West and was happy to find it here in Tucson. Highly recommend grabbing a slice or two of their Elote pizza with a side of ranch! Delicious! Awesome prices, too, and conveniently located downtown near major attractions.
Had an end of school get-together with family. Not really suited for any groups larger than 5 or 6. It's a takeout pizza place with small tables in front and small tables in the bar in the back if you decide to stay there and eat. Pizza by the slice for the most part.
I wanna give you 5 stars but I cant bc you guys are SKIMPY on the pepperoni. Paid 9 for 2 Pepp slices they should be loaded thats $4.50 PER SLICE. 12am so hot and fresh.will be back. DONT SKIMP ON THE PEPP. I'm from Brooklyn, so I have a little authority here
Pizza was fairly good came out relatively fast. We got a large pepperoni with a side of ranch.the person who took her order upfront had awful horrible customer service, and didn’t even ask if we were going eat there. Once we acknowledge that we were interested in sitting in the back he still insisted on bringing us a pizza in the box. There was hardly any room to sit, and to top it off the bartender didn’t even acknowledge us. She was on her phone the whole entire time, and there were several other people in their irritated by their service.bathrooms were very dirty…I would never eat here again by how awful there service was…you would think a place with only 2 other customers would be interested in customer retention
Overpriced. The pizza has almost no tomato sauce and was overly greasy. So much so my mother threw it away. I gave it an extra star because some might like their pizza like that and they also have the guts to stand up agaisnt loitering and pan handling with a zero tolerence policy for it (as mentioned in an earlier review). The city needs to step up for small businesses
It's late night and you just taken enough shots for a baseball team. Head over to Empire Pizza for a huge slice to curve your hunger and hangover. Order two slices because you can't eat just one. And don't forget to get cheesecake!
Best pizza period! I only eat the crust on this pizza too. Best in Tucson. Great prices as well.
Wow, 6 dollars for a coke and half filled cup of ranch, and I get the tip screen shoved at me. You used to be cool Empire, you used to be cool.
The manager kick me out because somebody bought me pizza even though I didn't ask somebody to buy me pizza I wouldn't go there this pizza restaurant
Great pizza but watch what they charge you. They'll say a price and charge more, even from what's written on the menu. At least the young man opening the store last week did and another employee about two months ago but at least she came up with the excuse of charging me for the box. The guy never said anything and just ran up my bank card.
The bar and bar tenders all seem cool. It's laid back, general bar atmosphere. A bit small but I've never seen it exceptionally crowded. Busy yeah, but never annoyingly crowded.
Better New York style pizza then the pizza I had a New York. They get busy fast though so go early.
Great pizza and ready fast. We saw first hand why they have a zero tolerance against panhandling stinky homeless harassing customers. Too bad the city of Tucson doesn’t support downtown businesses and their rights for customers to enjoy a meal without having rude stinky people come bother them.
Really great New York style pizza! Favorite part was how fresh the ingredients were. Great flavor! Staff were friendly and even walked the pizza outside to me when it was done.
Pizza decent but heavy on salt. Service is so-so. When I asked for a carry-out box they charged me extra. Maybe they are trying to reduce packaging waste by encouraging food waste? I don’t know, feel like 75 bucks for two pizzas and a soda should get you a take home box. A restaurant is as much about experience as it is about food. Won’t be back.
They won’t make you what you want to order. I recommend a place with better service and food such as Olive Garden
Giving 2 stars for service only. Food was subpar. Pizza is by the slice (or pie) pepperoni, cheese, or some other ugh one. Ordered wings which were "different" and only came in plain or hot. Really not impressed sorry
Pizza is ok. They charge you a $1 for the box the pizza is served in which adds to the already steep price.
The pizza is good. However. The tables were VERY dirty, and as I was wiping one down, the girl brought out our food. She didn't even say anything as I stood there cleaning the table. She just waited until I was done and set the pizza down. I'll order takeout next time, since it seems to be set up to encourage that anyway.
Living in the downtown area I frequent Empire a few times a week and I’ve always had a good consistent slice of pepperoni baked until the crust has a decent firmness. As of this review, a slice and canned soda was $5.50
