I have been going to Dr. Matt and Dr. Alex for almost 5 years. The amount of help, health and wellness I have received under their care is absolutely nothing short of a miracle. My migraines subsided almost immediately with regular trigger point injections from Dr. Matt. I was able to get pregnant with the help of Dr. Alex reviewing my hormones and helping me with supplementations. I was able to get pregnant shortly thereafter and had a healthy baby at 42. After the birth of my son, i received wonderful hypnotherapy treatment there for post partum issues. Once i was ready to get back to my regular fitness regimen and life post baby i couldn't do this on my own. I was experiencing adrenal fatigue for many months. I went to Dr. Alex for help, she monitored my hormone levels, provided some guidance on a fitness protocol for a few months and helped me with my testosterone levels through different methods. I feel better than I have in years, I feel like I have the energy I used to have prior to having my son. This place is amazing! Pheonix Magazine Top Doc Dr. Matt Hernandez and his team are knowledgeable about new technology and up-to-date methods available to their clients. I found Dr. Matt after years of seeing surgeons, physical therapists, and a rheumatologist for my soft tissue damage. I made a consultation with Ethos and several other functional medicine facilities. Dr Matt stood out as dynamic, personable, and very knowledgeable about soft tissue damage. He had a clear treatment plan with reasonable timelines. He recommended a procedure I had had before with low success, however, he explain to me the way he injects is very different from what I previously had done. At the time, I had just recovered from plantar fasciitis, I had ankle, knee, hip issues, as well as tennis elbow, and a torn rotator. In other words, I was broken and willing to try anything. I am an avid tennis player, playing competitively on three leagues so I do not like to have downtime. I had my first injection and within three months i was doing considerably better and by six months and very little downtime, i I was much better. I then developed bursitis of the hip and was able to eliminate that within one treatment (a month). Dr Matt sees me periodically to track my condition, it’s been over a year now and I feel great, I’ve moved up one level in Tennis, and haven’t missed a day on the court except for rain.
I highly recommend Dr. Matt to anyone with soft tissue conditions playing at a high-level sports.
I have also branched over to Dr. Massengill, who specializes in hormone therapy for women and she’s doing an amazing job working on getting my energy levels balanced and my hormones in line through natural methods.
I contracted Covid last year and she treated me efficiently, helping me maximize downtime and any lasting affects.
The staff are friendly and follow up with calls to make sure I’m doing OK. The office is modern, clean. It is out of pocket and it is not inexpensive, but I consider it a great investment as opposed to sitting on the sidelines watching life instead of participating. If you are injuried, or want a holistic approach to medical care, I would highly recommend you go to Ethos.

I have worked with Dr. Matt at Ethos on and off for a couple years now, starting with a foot injury when trail running that left me unable to walk. As a competitive masters CrossFit athlete and an obstacle course racer, things happen from time to time and it is important for me to get back to activity.without going the route of surgery if I don't have to. Dr. Matt has been extremely helpful to always get me back to the things I love to do.

When I initially visited Dr. Matt I had some significant pain in my inner elbow. My condition is commonly referred to as "golfer's elbow". I tried all kinds of different methods to heal my injury, but for months nothing seemed to help. After a couple of Prolotherapy injections at Ethos I'm basically pain free! 5 years ago I had broken my wrist and injured my knee in a mountain bike race. I was able to get surgery for my wrist but had neglected my knee and left it to heal on its own. Fast-forward to this past year, my knee had gotten to the point where I was nervous to walk down a flight of stairs because of how unstable it was. My girlfriend had referred me to Dr. Matt and I'm SO glad I received the series of treatments when I did. A few more years and I would've had to get surgery on my knee. The PRP Injections combined with consistent physical therapy worked WONDERS and I couldn't be more thankful for Dr. Matt's care and expertise!
