Expansive Heard Building reviews
13The facility was perfect for our two-day meeting. The rates were affordable, and Natalie took absolutely AMAZING care of us! I would highly recommend Expansive and their downtown Phoenix Heard Building location, and will plan to hold additional meetings and events there.
I was a client of Expansive for about A Year, it started off very nice! I used it as a private office I work from home for Uber technologies Inc! Printer is always broken! I informed Natalie via email she is barley in office she is always hiding upstairs in smart suites with her boyfriend who is not a employee or member of expansive and always uses office spaces like he is a client! I felt this place had Potential just needs a more professional team at this building! I’m going to check out some of the many new co working spaces in the area I really like The New X Building around the corner! It is very futuristic and has A Rooftop pool!
I needed a space away from home to work and Expansive was exactly what I was looking for. It was bright and friendly and I love that I didn't need to supply my own furniture. The common areas were clean, the kitchen well-stocked, and the staff friendly and very responsive. Five star office space!
I have to say this place is incredible. If you need infrastructure and a SOLID IT experience look no further than Expansive in DT phoenix.
Super awesome place. Maricia and Natalie are awesome. Got me setup the same day in a dedicated desk.
Things I really LOVE!
1.24/7/365 access and their biometric storage rooms
2. Accessibility right in the heart of DT phx (tons of eating options)
3. Dedicated desk
4. Unlike Galvanize (where I used to be a member), they actually have a proper isolated member WIRED and WIRELESS setup apparently using RADIUS and "username and passsword" authentication rather than a shared WPA2 password.
5. Member/IT requests are handled quickly and LOCALLY by the building manager and not "relayed" to a remote corporate IT team.
6. Expansive.has way more locations than galvanize and OWN every building they are tenants of
I really liked Galvanize and the local staff and building was excellent but their new "woke" corporate structure now that publically traded K12/Stride in my opinion is really effecting the original entrepreneurial and community spirit of Galvanize. Local staff was excellent but their corporate (not local staff) is more concerned with "diversity" and pronouns rather than responding to IT tickets and quickly. This is really why I love expansive DT phoenix even more!
I know alot of my friends will be moving to expansive.
I booked a lounge day pass on less than 12 hours notice after my connecting flight was canceled and Expansive was a godsend on an important remote work day. The space was clean, peaceful and well stocked. The wifi is strong. The staff, especially Maricia, were incredible - so helpful and responsive.
I have been a tenant here for a while now. I have nothing but good things to say about the building, the company and especially the staff.
Natalie is always super helpful and accommodating. The networking happy hours allow the tenants to build a relationship with each other while also creating some referral opportunities.
Love this place, the price is reasonable and it is opened 24 hours if you rent the shared office or dedicated desk; this works perfect for me since I work thought the nights.
I love Novel Coworking Heard Building! Katie and Blyss are so nice and welcoming with any questions/requests I have. The space is beautiful and every time I bring my clients, they are amazed by the openness of the area.
Very good concept in the Downtown Phoenix. Very different to WeWork or Regus or Open Office. That guys do not own the buildings and it is very industrial - more like chickens in a cage. Novel owns the place, prices are better and the setup is more startup friendly. They could make it more wibe - but it will come I am sure

No air conditioning and uneven flooring but they gave the ASU design students a space for free so that was nice. The history of the building is interesting too.
This building is an amazing piece of history! My graduating class (2019) had our final senior exhibit here in May. The spaces that aren’t occupied with businesses yet are pretty sparse and industrial because the new owner gutted the entire building and got rid of the drop ceilings and gross carpet (yay!) They managed to save a lot of the original hexagon tiles on the floor which is amazing considering the building is literally 100 years old.
There are several murals on the different floors of this building painted by various artists.
The service elevator is kind of slow and sketch, and the flooring is a bit uneven because of the renovation.
Parking is easiest in the US Bank building around the corner.
