Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library reviews
13The kids area is great! My toddler loves to play with the toys & puzzles & loves to color. It's a great spot to go with your littles when the weather outside isn't great or you need a break from the heat!
Visiting the High Country doing schoolwork. Needed a different environment to study. I went twice.
This library has its good & bad points.
Because it's near city hall, parking is said to be 2 hours. Both times I stayed almost 5 hours, no issues. WiFi was very good but login says it's a 4 hour time limit. I didn't get cut off. A lot of room & computers. It was difficult to find a table/desk with electric outlets. Ended up sharing a large table with 3 others. There were several distressed people, one asked for money for catching a bus. Another asked for gum.
Overall I'd go back.
Great place to sit and read or do any online searching, working, and various other things. They have a wide variety of books and quite a few computers for general public use.
The kid's and teens areas also have a vast amount of books and computers for the appropriate ages, theyre packed with informative games and plenty of safety nets for such ages.
The librarians and other staff are always super helpful at finding anything you need as well as helping you use most services available at the library like printing.
Awesome for kids even has a little backstory, it's the second stop on the haunted places tour! Check out the culture passes if you're wanting to explore!
The Trolling librarian staff is far from describable.
. Attempted to get me falsely arrested on numerous occasions.
The latest is that ;
. I have no library ban on me, but the Trolling Inhuman library staff continues to call the Flagstaff Police Department on me, and tells them that I am now violating a library ban.
. I will be making their lawsuits.
It's a very nice library visually, but their selection is just awful. Couldn't find several different titles at this branch. I can't find a single available copy of any e-books I look up, not even older books. The one book I could find, after 10 plus books not being available, was from 2004. I have no clue what books they have filling up their shelves because I'm searching for pretty common and popular book titles. I asked how to request more books and was given an uninterested answer about digging around the website and requesting every single book individually. The website is a nightmare to navigate as well. It looks like the website hasn't been updated since 2002. Nothing but links and a blank white background. I'm not sure if this branch is just underfunded, but it's sad to see.
The Flagtown Library is the perfect place to obsess over (the former planet) Pluto. It was here that I rediscovered the freaky deaky connections to Pluto’s discovery and the number 13. They have books written by Clyde Tombaugh and Percival Lowell and even offer public restrooms, sack lunches for those in need and open flame fireplaces to warm your toes as you ignite your imagination. The library often gives away free books and they have an on going book sale which helps raise money for the library by selling books that have been donated by local residents. Their aren’t too many ghosts to worry about, I mean, they’re there, however they’re friendly. I believe the old school teacher Mabel Milligan would love for us all to cast the phone aside and dive into a wonderful book.
This is a beautiful library. The entrance is not the main entrance right now due to construction, but is around back. You’ll walk through the kid’s section to end up in the main library which is larger than expected. The staff was helpful and the bathroom was nice and clean. I will say, I haven’t encountered too many libraries with a sharps container in the bathroom but it’s good that it is available.
Construction occurring at front main entrance, but temporary entrance very well labeled! Staff is very helpful!
Do not come here if you want to use the WiFi. It does not work, and when I asked the front desk they told me I had to sit on the West side of the building to get connection, which didn't work either, so I ended up just leaving. There are also no plugs at the tables that are supposedly in the range of the WiFi connection.
The library hosted the Masterpiece Art training tonight but it gave me a glimpse into the childrens section (which I haven’t been in for many years) and got me excited to bring my kiddos back.
Quiet, clean bathroom, lots of outlets for charging, plenty of room, nice staff, nice selection of art history

Cool and calm. Felt very comfortable here and loved the books about other cultures and persons different from me. Thank you for supporting the lgbt and arizona community!
The staff was soooo wonderful.
