Fort Tuthill County Campground, Flagstaff AZ

100 or so "campsites" crammed into a few acres. Not recommended for real camping. Expensive as well.

Too crowded. Too noisy. 100 sites crammed into a few acres. No services. Port a potties stink.

Visited the campground for a festival this weekend, and I am so impressed with every aspect. Perfect location, facilities are clean and abundant, the staff was so helpful and maintained immaculate vibes, the forest is pristine… 10/10 can’t wait to come back!

While it served our needs during a mountain bike race weekend, I would never choose to camp here for enjoyment. There are way too many people and the campsites are far too close together. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay here and it was so convenient to access the freeway. Loved the trees, shade and access to the bike park and mountain bike trails.
I wish there were flush toilets and even showers would be nice. We stayed for 9 days and using the outhouse for that many days really got old.

Want to give John a big shout out! He went above and beyond to help us park our travel trailer.
Last night we got in late 8: 30pm and tried to back in but couldnt see well. We could not pull through since the fifth wheel next to us did not pull in all the way and partly blocked us. Last night we were taken to a lot with no hook up for the night and was told to try to back in in the morning to park in our paid spot with hook ups.
John noticed our struggles and helped us tremendously this morning!
So Kudos to him and thank you Kindly sir!

Great campground with very helpful staff. Sites are nice, abundant shade and bike trails. What more can you ask for?

We camped in an atypical fashion for us (not dispersed) but dang! This place was super nice. John welcomed us with open arms and enforced the noise ordnance. There’s a bike park, ropes course (with a flush toilet that opens at 8a…shh) disc golf, happened to be the fair…everyone had a blast, even if it feels a bit cramped at times

We camped for the Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash last weekend, and had a wonderful weekend. We will definitely camp at Fort Tuthill again!

John & Bernadine are the best! Always so helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are serviced every 3 days which I appreciate. Even though I always carry my own TP, there always is some. I wish generators were not allowed but that's a tent-person opinion. So loud if they are right next to you.
Camping there this summer at least 4 weekends - love it!

Amazing location just minutes from downtown Flagstaff and a great place to stay if you want to ride the Tuthill bike park.

Fort Tuthill, the public side, not speaking for the Luke Air Force Side, is in an excellent location near Flagstaff. There are many non motorized trails in and from the campground, but no accommodations for even class 1 e-bikes. There is a Flagstaff Urban Trails System (FUTS) beginning at the location and taking you to the city. Only problem here is that the city's rules on this network of trails does not allow even class 1 e-Bikes. This rule is more a philosophical position, IMO, than a anything based in reality since class 1 e-bikes are limited to pedal assist only, and must not provide assist above 20MPH. Come on folks, why do you care if the less physical among us have some assist such that they can enjoy these trails along side the more physically able? At the campground there is the Tree Top Experience, a zip line course that is incredible fun. One course is for adults and a smaller area for children. My complaint on the facilities would only be the dust. All the roads in the campground area are loaded with very fine dust that I would thing might be a health concern. Given that water is a very precious commodity in this area, why not oil the roads in the camp areas?

I had a very enjoyable weekend at the campgrounds. I was there to camp and attend the dog show at the fairgrounds next door. The camp was clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was quite and peaceful. I highly recommend the campgrounds.

Nice campground, plenty of trees and shade. Friendly camp hosts. It can be really busy and dusty on the weekends. Nice open spaces and trails to walk our dog.

We have stayed here many times & love it! The staff is usually awesome & this year is no exception! Beautiful wooded park & large sites!

One of my favorite places to camp. Hosts are so kind and do a great job of keeping the place clean and organized. Some of the sites are so big and you get great buffers from neighbors if that's important to someone. With the biking/hiking trails, adventure course, Pepsi Amphitheater, special events, playgrounds basically in their backyard it ends up being a perfect place to stay and play. Highly recommend.

A couple of friends and I camped in the regular campground, it is well maintained, monitored and very pleasant.

Camped for the night and enjoyed a concert at the Pepsi Amphitheater. No power but water and dump are available with good spacing between camp spots. Not set up for big class A rigs.
