Francis & Sons Car Wash, Fountain Hills AZ

I would love to give a gray review because the car wash and vacuum was great. But waiting inside, the woman cashier was on her phone. Work or personal, I don’t know, when a young lady approached her to ask a question. The woman roared at her not to interrupt her and chastised her quite fiercely for such a small offense. I struck up a conversation, but mentioned how offensive it was to hear her abuse another coworker that way. She started screaming that was her daughter, and she can talk to her any way she pleases. Then don’t have your daughter at work.

Car was still dirty and dusty inside. Foot marks on door threshold. Forgot freshner. For almost $30 go somewhere else.

This carwash has seen its ups and downs. Some days are better than others. I read these reviews and the negative reviews are understandable but who's perfect?
The staff changes, which is normal for most businesses. There are guys who I've seen who have been there for a very long time. New faces have been popping up and I have seen a big change.
This is a family owned business, not a corporation. Let's try and give these people a chance to do better rather than slander their business because of things in the past. One bad review every now and then isn't bad when they are doing hundreds of cars a week. If it was so bad, every person would write a negative review.
Some people like to complain.

Great carwash. They also fix window chips or replace them.details as well, I will be needing one soon.

The cashier Sheryl is such a delight to see. She welcomes everyone coming through the door. I've been coming here for years. And this time I'm writing a review, now that was shown how to.
I've always had a pleasure talking with her while watching my car get cleaned. These guys bust their butts.
Sheryl truly loves her job and she always has a smile on her face. Place is clean and organized. Looks like you found your face to your company. She is wonderful.

It was a busy day when we went earlier. Just got home.
Sheryl the cashier was awesome. One of the best customer service representatives I've seen yet. She gave me all the info needed about their sales and services. She's been there a while now.
Guys outside looked hot and tired. But they still got my car cleaned very well. We will be back.

Every single time I drive through, these folks are busting their humps to do a good job. Always impressed.

I've been through many car washes in the last 50 years of life. This one was the worst. From the delay at the start to the cleaning of the vehicle, to having to put my car in drive before it even got a rinse because it was done moving to getting out the other side w soap bubbles on the vehicle. Having to pull over at the circle k next door to wipe off soap myself. Not a great experience. I hope others have a better experience when they visit.

Great but you have to be at the right location. Fountain Hills great car wash. Other locations not as good.

When my car was in the finishing area at Francis & Sons Fountain Hills this morning, an employee moved the large truck in front of mine forward and did not put it securely in park, causing it to roll back into my car, bumping/moving it noticeably. The employee moved the truck forward, but didn't even look at my car. I reported this to the manager, Javier, who looked at my car with me. While there was no noticeable damage other than a small scratch, neither Javier nor the employee apologized. In fact, after talking with the employee outside of my earshot, Javier came to me and said that the employee said he stopped in time and didn't hit my car - even though two other witnesses in the waiting area saw the truck roll into my car. Will never use this car wash again.

It's OK. However, the service is hit or miss. And you don't always get a good wash.

I’ve been using this car wash for years, but I am done for good. The staff inside are as nice as can be, the wipe-down crew is adequate. No complaints there. But when you first arrive, the fella outside aggressively tries to sell up, and if you don’t buy an upgraded wash (basic was always good enough for me) he’ll find a reason to sell up. Yesterday to add $10 per side (a $20 add on a $20 car wash) to rinse off the sides before it goes into the car wash tunnel. He’s tried this every single time over the last 6 months. I’ve always told him no, there’s nothing there but road spray. But yesterday he had people lined up and insisted on doubling my price. I’ve had it. I’ll go somewhere else, anywhere else, heck I’ll wash it in my driveway rather than let this snarky young man get any of my money. I’ve spent $250 for their interior details in the past. I always tip the wipe down crew generously even though I immediately stop at their public vacuums to finish up because they rush through that process. I understand reasonableness. But I cannot tolerate abusive selling techniques that aren’t addressed. My recommendation is to go somewhere else. Even another Francis & Sons branch, but stay away from the Fountain Hills branch.

Terrible car wash. Used to be such higher quality. Paid for VIP and they didn't even wipe down the interior at all. No armour all no wipe down of leather seats. If I wanted a $10 car wash I would have taken my car to any drive through car wash for $10-15. How they can even remotely justify over $30 for a car wash when all they did was a poor vacuum job. Still all kinds of marks and smudges that could have been cleaned easily with a quick interior wipe down. I will not take my car here ever again. Total rip off and terrible attitude from staff. I was also made to feel like it was annoying to take my payment because they decided to close in the middle of the day due to rain.after they had already taken my car through the wash. Poor service and poor job. All around terrible.

This place is a rip off. The published prices are only the starting point. They charged me $25 for salt removal even though the exterior of the car not dirty (we think it was because we had Minnesota plates) Then charged $5 to clean EACH mat! I talked to two other people who used them and they both told me that they left feeling taken advantaged of.

Not a great way to build trust in your customers.

Average car wash. Poor dryer. I had to park after and dry my car myself to get it completely dry.
