Gadsden-Pacific Division Toy Train Operating Museum reviews
13Impressive! Anyone interested in model trains.must see. Everyone else with a pulse.see it anyway. Family friendly and interactive. It's a room full of the various scales of model trains and a testament to what could easily approach 10,000 hours of hand building and meticulous attention to detail. Only open on Sundays from 1-4p, September through May. We gave $5 each at the door. There's also a small gift shop inside.
Excellent Sunday adventure with the kiddo.
The indoor displays are very interactive with multiple buttons that activate motorized things deeper in the scenery like playgrounds, log loaders, cars and trucks, lights and sounds.
There are a ton of little platform stools for kids to stand on to see at the level and a few of the areas have windows underneath to reveal the trains at small kid eye-level
Loved this place, definitely worth the drive, such a great set up and friendly people, really had a great experience! My grandson was over the moon!
Amazing spot for model train enthusiasts or not, there is fun to be had for anyone. They have a model for each size train, some are even interactive! Everyone should take some time to come enjoy the trains, and the love put into the place.
Great work by the folks who did this and with so much details. It should have been taken many years to build this and still operating.
It shows their passion toward trains and will inspire others to who love trains.
Must visit for kids and who love miniatures.
This place is a wonderful experience for anyone of all ages. They take health and safety extremely seriously, you can feel absolutely safe bringing your child here.
Went because our 2 year old loves trains, will come back because we all had a blast! Pretty sure everyone in there turned in to a kid for a bit. Wonderful displays, plenty of hidden surprises with the buttons for kids to push, and a very friendly staff. They really love putting this together!
It's a great place for kids of all ages from new born to not so new born. Okay I am a bit biased because I'm also a member, but I became a member after visiting with my 3 year old son.
Great layouts of all sizes of model train s. Friendly club members, willing to share their model train knowledge.
Can't argue with free. This museum is small but stuffed to the brim with exhibits. Even a mini train you can ride and a real old fashioned caboose. The folks that volunteer their time running the museum really know their stuff.
If you like model trains of all sizes (gages) complete with detailed towns and landscapes, running realistically, this is the place for you. Some historical perspective is added by the people running this non-profit exhibit.
When I was a teen they used to have an area in the foothills mall, and during the holiday's the winter train scene was unbelievable. Well now they have their own huge building, need I say more. They are a non-profit organization, and donate their time, and raise fund through their gift shop. If you have kids, or are a big kid it's a must see.
This museum has plenty of layouts from Z scale to G scales. Garden Railroad, Caboose with a ride on train. Plenty of displays for people of all ages to look at. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a nice little gift shop. Donation only museum. Pretty fun afternoon
