I love the food and atmosphere here! The enchiladas are a bit different from what I have had growing up, but the enchiladas are out of this world! I'm hoping we can get a gadzooks in the Goodyear/ Verrado area, so I can get some of those amazing short rib ladas!

What happened to this place!? When did they stop caring? I just had one of the worst service experiences that I can remember and I would have marked it down as a “one off” but this is the second and worst experience I have had at Gadzooks. It started with a bigger girl with long hair and glasses who was clearly uninterested in being there and chewed on gum the whole time (gross). I had to repeat my order twice though I was intentionally loud enough because you have to be in that place. She looked away and apparently couldn’t retain the information for more than a second. It looked and felt like no one was in charge of their service line at all (or quality). It took entirely too long to get to the end, and the poor woman ahead of me ordered an egg as did the friend dining with me. She had to ask 3 times about the egg (girl with the glasses again) and finally one of the guys responded to make it. I asked him to make one for my friend as well since the girl with the glasses failed to communicate this to him. It was a total snafu! The guy making the eggs wandered away while the lady ahead of us looked at me exasperated wondering what the heck was happening! Meanwhile, the girl with the glasses spent a few minutes shifting plates around lazily, not making eye contact and chewing her gum, while our food just sat there waiting for the rest of the toppings. Eventually a different guy took the eggs off and tried to put them on the wrong dishes, which I corrected as girl with the glasses either couldn’t remember or couldn’t be bothered. The lady that was ahead just said to put it on the enchilada and left, as she had already paid and was just painfully waiting for an egg. As it turned out, the egg was overcooked on the bottom and not set on top (pictured). The best compliment I can give about my visit at Gadzooks was that the food was adequate, not great, and the service was terrible.
6/4/19 Addendum: I am pleased to have heard from owner Aaron Pool regarding my experience at Gadzooks. He thanked me for my feedback and indicated staffing adjustments have been made to improve quality of service. As a long-time Gadzooks customer, I appreciate Aaron for reaching out to me, and will be happy to give them another try.

Overall tasty with enough options to please anybody, but I think the portions could be larger at the price point. Everything was very fresh and overall seemed clean. My enchiladas could have been left in much longer as they weren't really hot. Nice ambience for a casual setup.

Chipotle this is not! Thank goodness! No more soggy bowls, over-spiced proteins and bland toppings!

Gadzooks serves their delicious made-to-order tacos and enchiladas in traditional terra cotta bowls, then fires the food in an oven (like stone-fired pizza) The results?

Yeah, they've got banging, perfectly seasonend and slow cooked beef and chicken selections, but you want to try the short ribs or bison, or both, cuz you can get a combo!

Service was great, thanks for my "first lunch" home - I always try a new restaurant when I come home to visit my mom.

Gadzooks would do great in Portland, OR.

Fiesta tacos are so good. The sweet cornbread and the 50/50 tortillas combined are amazing.

They do not accept cash, allegedly there is a sign on the door…but it’s not posted on their website or anywhere else in the restaurant and nobody mentions it until you get to the counter to pay.

Always friendly and the food is delicious whether you’re looking for something quick or to sit down and enjoy they’re very speedy and the price is very fair for the food amount and quality of the meal. You will be very satisfied!

The staff at 7th street the past few months is on point. We go each week, so we know! Line is moving and gets us back to work, they make each dish on the spot and it’s great (I love the nachos and it is skill set to make them right). Great place for a work lunch and dinner too.

Is super-duper-yum-a-licious a word? Consistently great. Whether on housemade tortillas or in a poblano, the enchiladas are perfection. Great proteins to choose from. Recommend to top with Christmas (combo of both red and green sauces) for the rich smokey red sauce and the acidic green sauce.
Top with cheese and watch and wait patiently whole it bubbles in the open flame oven. Top with crunchy, cool honey vinagrette slaw, tangy pickled onions, choices of salsas, guacamole (a fried egg), cotija and crema. Don't forget to get the pumpkin cookies with brown butter glaze. Yup, superduperyumalicious!

I love the flavor in the red enchiladas sauce. The dish has lots of layers of flavor. The slaw brings tang and crunch that really harmonizes well.

I've ordered on Uber Eats multiple times and it always arrived cold. Ok, that's delivery. I reheat it and it's scrumptious. I was craving this and decided to stop in after a tough work week. I've never been into the restaurant, just delivery until this visit. Sadly, I understand why they are cold when they are delivered. They're out into an oven, something designed more for pizzas. I didn't think my food was heated well.

They also ran out of forks. No plastic either. I ate it with a plastic spoon. I was dining in and had a beer, everyone else had silverware. I asked for a fork and they said they'd get me one and they never did.

I'll go back because the food is amazing. But I'll ask them to leave it in longer.

I placed my order on GrubHub for pickup and showed up a lil early. While waiting for my order I heard the server gal tell a lady in front of me that they were out of guacamole. I had guacamole in my order so I started worrying, as I already paid! The girl finished the lady's order and excused herself. I assume to the back of the restaurant, where I then heard some chopping and she came with guacamole for MY order! I didn't catch your name but you did good and it was delicious! Thanks a lot!

I love Gadzooks SO much. I gave them a try when they first opened up and I was hooked. The food is delicious and more importantly, consistently delicious. That is hard for a lot of restaurants to achieve. I'm a customer for life!

First time here, and last! This was a pick-up order. Let me quote their description. "A massive pair of enchiladas" What did I actually get? "2 small, skinny, slightly burnt 5 1/2 inch long enchiladas, with a 5 out of 10 for flavor, 12 cold chips, and some mediocre salsa on the side, all for low price of $18.38. Oh, and no silverware! I am literally typing this while trying to scrap the burnt sections off the bottom of the tray so I can feel like I [actually] got something! What a complete, and utter waste of my money. "Redefining the Enchilada", let's see, put a fancy name up, make it super expensive, ah, it MUST be good.no, it's NOT!

Just reheated the second enchilada, and halfway thru, there was no more meat!

Food and service have gone down hill significantly over the past several years. I will not go again.
