My son just got his braces off today and we could not be happier with the result. Staff was super personable, remembered him every single visit. Dr. Doucette is amazing! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an ortho.

My twin boys have been patients at the QC office for the past two years and I cannot tell you how impressed with the amount of kindness pouring out of this office! One of my sons has had his braces off last week and in a way I have a little bit of sadness knowing that we will not be coming in to see these wonderful people every month. I love writing positive reviews! I would rather spread praise and positive emotions than deposit in the angry bank. However, when I have had an extremely bad experience, I am equally motivated, if not, COMPELLED to write and raise a BEWARE sign. Save yourself the grief as well as your money, and in this case, the physical pain. Yes! The technicians will PURPOSELY be rough and not follow correct procedures to cause the patient pain if you complain during your visits. I ended my treatment after 2 ½ months, and on the day they were to remove my braces, the technician purposely yanked the bottom braces with the rubber bands, the wires, and the brackets ALL still intact. This is how vindictive the staff is. My body physically jerked from the pain. After 2 complaints, and only when she got to my upper teeth, did she finally take the the rubber bands off first, pulled out the wires second, and then, the brackets last.

The long version is this. Not having nighttime headgear in my treatment plan, they gave me molar bands for a headgear which they refused to remove and replace. They not only cut my tongue but I had consistent bruising sensations on all 4 molar areas of my cheeks if I did not put wax on them. The braces on the lower teeth were placed incorrectly, from too low of a position on the left, below my gum line, and too high on the right, causing the prongs to cut into the floor of my mouth and my lip, respectively. I found out later through another orthodontic office that the ceramic braces (which were recommended without a doubt because they were the most expensive and for no other reason), as a practice, should not be placed on the bottom teeth simply because they are sharp and the bulkiest of all the braces. In short, when I complained, not only did they not address the issues and offer solutions, but everything was a Band-Aid. Shaving the molar bands left them sharp and caused a fishbone-in-the-mouth sensation.

I will say this. The animosity and retaliatory behavior from the staff was consistent throughout from top to bottom. The only good service I received was from the female doctor on my last day. After it was obvious that the technician was causing me a lot of pain, the doctor finished up by clipping the molar bands off herself. The type of service that she displayed, (telling me to raise my hand if it hurts, so we can take pauses, being sympathetic) was more akin to my expectations from healthcare staff. With more at stake, (this is not a $25 dinner, this is a $6,000 treatment) you just won’t get it here.

Staff was incredibly friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions.

I previously gave a lower review. After that review was posted Dr Mason called me personally, listened to my concerns and was very kind and professional. I really appreciated the time and effort that had been put into addressing my concerns and may be giving an even better review in future as we continue with our treatment here. I will say I can tell that Dr Mason has a lot of pride in his practice and values his patients.
