Some tough sections of the trail and its filled with volcanic rock. Worth the effort though. Great views of PV and Prescott. Large parking lot and porta potty at the base.

I am fortunate to climb this mountain, when it is the most youthful and energetic this year, because it is usually a weed. When you go up, you can look down on the whole village, as if you are detached from the world. You can see the lush mountains all around, and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. You can only hear the chirping of insects with unknown names and the melodious chirping of birds. The accompaniment music is the wind blowing grass. The waves rustled, and those troubles dissipated like a wisp of smoke in the wind compared to the blue sky, white clouds and green grass. Small flaw is no shade

Did the run for the Hill of It run to the top. Rocky trail and steep in places but the view from the top is amazing.

Great view of Prescott/Prescott Valley, almost 365°. A little steep, about 3-4 mile round trip. No water, no shade.

Great hike! Healthy people preferred. Thank the Lord for those picnic tables.

Love the challenge of running up to the summit but not a huge fan of the faith-ffiti at the top. Yes, the area is incredibly spiritual without having religion being brought into it. Maybe let the Big man do his thing, shouldn't that be enough?
