Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant, Tucson AZ

I've visited this establishment for decades and have always found this restaurant to be clean, professionally staffed and delivering a top notched product.
I especially enjoyed the lunch menu. I recently had general Tso's chicken for lunch, for $10.60 after tax.l received a filling plate of tasty chicken, fried rice, a noodle, egg flower soup and an egg roll. I found the entire meal was freshly made to order and extreamely flavorful.
I truly feel valued as a customer here. I truly appreciated receiving a full plate of food promptly served by an entire staff beaming with pride in a job well done.
I'd highly recommend this establishment.

I don't know why there's no decent Asian restaurants in tucson. They all want to cut corners and pretend their really authentic

There was a mishap on the first order with Uber eats that Miranda the driver picked my food and never delivered. I called the restaurant and they said they would make another order but by then I didn’t want it. They told my credit card people that I ordered and they had delivered. Absolutely not true. I had canceled my order right away while on the phone with the guy. My credit card is charging me for both orders which again were not delivered. You are a rip off. I will make sure everyone knows about it.

I just want to say the the salt and pepper wings and Singapore noodles are super legit. I decided that I wanted to have some Mapo Tofu today. So I open up my to go box, expecting that beautiful red from the doubanjiang but was met with a grey color. I don’t know if it forgot to get added in or they use such a slight amount that you don’t see it. Either way, I was pretty let down. Hopefully it was a fluke. Either way, I’ll be back…just not for the Mapo Tofu.

We are coming back. We ordered the stuffed eggplant with shrimp on a sizzling platter and were impressed by the culinary skill of the chef. The outside of the eggplant was charred just right and its flesh was delicate and smooth. I thought the shrimp was really fresh fish because the generous amount of giant shrimp was so sweet and moist.

We also ordered the phat Thai and Thai ice tea. The surroundings are modern, well-maintained and clean. The iridescent tile wall and fish tank added to the seafood atmosphere.

First time I have ordered delivery from this restaurant. It was on time and the food was like it just came out of the kitchen.

Food is Great but the man that answers the phone is short with his words. I've ordered the same thing weekly for quite some time Always with white rice. Why would he think I want fried rice today? Where they out of white rice?

I think the server is in training. But we have been coming here for years, and the food is consistently yummy.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! The orange chicken is NASTY! I have been eating Chinese for 50+ years and I have never seen it cooked like a roll and server like sushi slices in a box. It was only breaded on the round side and the chicken quality was absolutely horrific. The crab rolls/Rangoon tasted terrible too. Way overpriced for the quality/quantity. I will never order from this place again. Just god awful I tell ya!

The Golden Dragon on Sunrise has the absolute best chicken wings in Tucson. Often overlooked by local food writers who would rather follow the hype of new establishments that advertise themselves as more “authentic. ” It seems a bit unfair that just because they have a generic name most of these blogs completely ignore them as if they haven’t been doing this for thirty years; they took a risk way before all these other places the blogs hype up. Talk to someone from New York and they might tell you that their favorite Chinese dish is wings with rice. The cook at the Sunrise location worked in New York ages ago and the delicious wings reflect that. Not every dish at every restaurant will be amazing, you just have to know what to order. I haven’t seen any blogs mention how great the wings are here but maybe it’s because they’re too busy writing uninspired articles about the same establishments over and over just like how television shows come to Tucson and film at the same restaurants every year. These food blogs don’t know any more about cuisine than you or I, and while their recommendations may be hit or miss, they are absolutely missing out by being biased and not exploring more dining options in this city.

One of our 4 meals was inedible. Upon complaint, server responded by saying "that's the way it is cooked". Had to ask for manager who passed the buck to the cook who badly overcooked the meal.and begrudgingly didn't charge for the meal.

We've visited numerous times. Last week, we showed up 15 minutes before 2PM. The owner was extremely rude stating 'we close at 2'. Why not take our order? The food comes out quick anyway. So, yeah we are done with this establishment.

Great food and very nice people. Szechuan Beef with fried rice and Egg Rolls were outstanding.

Loved the stuffed eggplant with shrimp. Really sensational. Egg rolls yummy, lettuce wraps topnotch. Our new go to for sure.

Food (house lo mein & house fried rice) was very good. Husband said his fried rice was a bit dry. Food was served hot and in a timely manner. Wait staff could've been a bit more attentive.
