Grand Canyon / Williams KOA Journey reviews
23We stayed at Williams/Grand Canyon for 3 nights. I can't rate the facilities since we didn't use them, however I can rate the service. The women in the office were rude, sarcastic and unhelpful. My friend, who was also staying there, asked a few questions only to be treated with sarcasm. Jan and Nina were horrible. Both need a class in customer service. The WIFI was slow and the registers locked up constantly. This being said, the maintenance people were nice and helpful. We won't be coming back.
Overall great place to camp. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the hours of operation. The main building closes at 5 and the pool closes early at 7. Camp area, showers, bathrooms were clean. We stayed in one of the cabins. It had ceiling fans and there were extra fans inside as well.
The KOA campground was not what they advertised as. The bathrooms were filthy dirty, pool looked green. I would never go there again. Very disappointed.
Cabins and bathrooms are nice but the playground is held together with duct tape. The pool is dirty and closes at 7,
The sister site is allot nicer,
Indoor pool, go carts, mini golf and a jump pad.
We stayed at this one and drove to the other place for the amenities.
This place was extremely rude, and unwelcoming. They were not kind to our children and didn't give clear instructions for us first timers. The KOA we used before were very kind and helpful but this one was horrible.
Very dirty toilets! Old shabby tables near camp place. Unfortunately bad experience with this campground.
Throughly enjoyed our stay at KOA Grand Canyon. Great facilities and great location. A massive shout out to the wonderful staff especially the night shift worker who ensured everyone reached there sights safely in the dark, was always available for assistance and could tell he genuinely loved his job! Great to see! Would stay again:)
My wife and I are traveling across the country and we've stayed at multiple KOAs. But this was the only one that didn't have A/C. And there was no warning that the cabins weren't air conditioned. It was Arizona in the middle of summer. The site was nice and the workers were great but the no A/C with no heads up really killed it for me.
Kevin and Travis went above and beyond helping me at this camp site. I would recommend staying here to anyone because of the stellar service they provided. They deserve a raise!
Has decent showers but not so great bathrooms. Poor/no cell service, but not the fault of the park, just something to keep in mind. Nice view though.
We had a great labor day weekend here. We rented a rustic cabin and a RV site. The RV sites are close together but all our neighbors were friendly and just here to enjoy the weekend like us. We met people from different countries which makes the camping experience even better. There's a little gas station next door which makes great coffee in the morning. All the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this KOA.
Great for a quick overnight. Be prepared to stand in line for the restroom though, not nearly enough to accommodate the number of guests.
The staff was really nice. The facilities were clean, including the pool. Quiet, despite being right off of the highway. The store has all the essentials and lots of gifts. I will definitely will go back. Hopefully when there is some snow.
We rented a tent sight which was more than enough to satisfy our needs. I would recommend to anyone traveling to the Grand Canyon, whether in a tent or camper/RV.
Nice campground, store.everything you need. 45 minutes from the Grand Canyon, 10 minutes from Williams AZ.
Beautiful area with great views, grand canyon has to be one of the most impressive things i've ever seen!
Had a great stay in the canyon lodge. Prices are a bit high and you have to bring your own linnen. There is only a bed + matras in the lodge. For 80$ a night thats a bit expensive. Location about an hour from the Grand canyon.
Being KOA, this was one of the worst experience. The camp itself was nice and secluded. However, the restrooms stunk and was not very well aired out-even though the vent fan was on.
We stayed with tents. Water and electricity at the grounds. Campground is nice. I don't understand the combined toilets and showers at these KOA campgrounds. Waiting times for showers in the morning are ridiculously long. This campground has three locations for that, which they say is a solution, but that does not sell.
Hated it. 50 miles from the canyon and limited spots. Ordered full hookups and didn't get it. Didn't stay full stay. Nothing at all to do in the camp area but swim and the pool is so dang small. Wifi there sucks. Hated it and will not use it again. I am a KOA member and this place I will never recommend to anyone.
