If you are looking for the most relaxing way to get to the canyon this is it. However, this is specifically to shout out our Passenger Service Agent Dennis. He was the most wholesome, funny, and genuine person we could have asked for. He made everyone feel special and gave us the best facts. Handouts that were written from the heart and genuinely wanted to make sure you had the best time at the canyon. Most importantly he was filled with information and you could tell it was because he loves this. If you're looking for something to do there's no one better to ask than Dennis. If you can I highly recommend requesting coach car A so you can experience Dennis for yourself. Side note: major Mr. Feeny vibes in the best way possible. We loved every second of it!

Great way to get to see the canyon first hand without driving/sitting in long lines to get into or out, but the 3 hours is adequate to see some but not all of the canyon unless you add a bus tour once you arrive. Each train car has a guide and Sharon was ours and told some great stories with such a great personality and helpful to everyone. The kids loved the train robbery and it's a great way to see and hear some history instead of driving IMHO

Very helpful ticket agent. Store has good selection. Toy trains and trains to scale are expensive, but the high-end ones are amazing. Some good kid train books.

We had a lot of fun taking the train to the Grand Canyon. Train is a bit outdated, but the staff make it a fun experience. The snacks they serve are underwhelming. We took the Verde Canyon train tour 8 months ago and were spoiled with their charcuterie meal that was included with our ticket purchase. The one with Grand Canyon Railway was a buffet style and cheap, to be honest. The crew really make it a great experience so just bring your own snacks.

All I can say it that it was a really nice Ride. A leisurely ride to the Canyon with a lot of scenery changes. The Staff from Depot to Rail Car was great. I had 2 Floridian Grandchildren with me. Now I have to do the same for the other 7. Williams is also a Nice place. Enjoy.

Great train journey into the Grand Canyon, especially if you don't have much time and can only spend one day there. Expensive but fun.

What a fun and relaxing day trip. Left my car behind and let the engineer and crew take care of everything. Arrived Grand Canyon Village at noon and spent 3 hours exploring and had a bite to eat on South Rim. Got back on the train at 3pm for enjoyable and entertaining ride back to Williams, AZ. Wonderful day.

Great staff, esp. Conyrae. Super nice railroad cars, we stayed in the Mary Coulter. Well worth the money.

What a great experience! Traveled coach north and south and it was comfortable and clean. The entertainment was great and still left plenty of time to just enjoy the ride and views. The Grand Canyon at the South Rim was spectacular and there is a lot available at the South Rim as far as accommodations. The train ride back was super fun as we got "robbed" by the cowboys who stop the train. Easy to get on and off the train, friendly staff and beautiful views! Definitely worth doing again. Plus major bonus, going on Earth Day it had the steam engine and there were no park entrance fees!

Brought my son here for the polar express ride. It was alright. The whole train ride leads up to about 30 seconds of riding past the "north pole"
Then backtracks and you see it again. You get like warm hot chocolate and a cookie, the polar express book is read over a recording by the author.

Overall it isn't a terrible experience, though feels like a highschool improve show set on a train. Had their been more lights outside along the way or something to grab the attention of the children, it wouldn't have boiled down to half the kids crying by the end because they were bored.

Probably will try to find something different next year, but wish them luck and hopefully they expand on the idea some.
