Grand Canyon Visitor Center reviews
18We arrived fairly early and parking was filling up but didn't have a problem finding parking. Was surprised it was so busy in the middle of the week. Everyone at the bookstore was friendly and helpful. The view of the canyon was just a short walk and it was breath taking.
This place was a good walk had many Lookout sites to see I walked alot that day my feel was hurting the next day but it was so worth it
If you haven't been & wondering if you should go, you DEFINITELY SHOULD! I don't believe anything has ever literally taken my breath away like this.nothing. We drove 16 hours to see it & it was worth it! We stayed in Williams, very quaint town. We drove as far around the south side as we could & stopped at each opportunity. If you have children, watch them! You have to be very careful around the edges and on trails.it would be SO easy to fall in. The drive there is very relaxing, beautiful scenery, lots of pines & mountains. We literally wanted to move to the area. DO IT, SO WORTH SEEING!
Great area, plan to spend most of the day to see as much as you can. Multiple days if you want to do some of the Great hiking
A great stop. Lots of things to do at the visitor center. There's hiking trails, free bus to hop on to tour the park, grocery stores, restaurants & camping sites.
I wish we had more time to hike around. I was there in October, it gets cool at night high 48-50 and the day warms up to mid- high 60s.
Visiting center was very helpful. I took my mom who is in a wheelchair and the customer service area was very helpful in informing me what trails to take that were wheelchair accessible. After we walked the trail up, we took the bus back to the parking lot. The bus driver was awesome. Ran us down on all the bus routes and allowed us to stay on her bus to ride all the routes. Great friendly lady. We had a great time. Very beautiful out there.
Beautiful and cold in the windy spots but so amazing. I'm planning on going again when I have more time and can see it from the bottom.
Would be nicer if all was open in spite of covid. We much enjoyed hiking at the canyon. Incredible views. Get the pink jeep sunset tour, definitely a time-saver to get to lots of great vistas!
WOW! Seeing the Grand Canyon was breathe taking! The vastness, size, depth and beauty were much greater than I had anticipated.
I definitely recommend taking the time and making the effort to see it!
Caution: Bring young kids who don’t listen to or obey instructions well would make me very nervous.
Amazingly beautiful. Saw elk even late at night. Lots of things closed due to Covid, but lovely views from the South Rim.
Enjoyed and loved the views! Had an amazing walk. Bought a passport looking book where a you go on your walk, you can collect stamps and others I guess got stickers too. The booklet shows other places around America to visit. Used it to decide where to go next on my roadtrip from California to Florida.
Hike some of the Canyon in the morning-before the unforgiving light of midday-for the full, breathtaking experience. You're never going to see anything like it again. The Visitors Center itself is currently closed due to Covid regulations, so bear that in mind during your visit.
The rangers here were very helpful in helping us decide what we would be able to safely do with 5 children including a toddler in a stroller. We had a great time looking into the canyon and hiking through the woods! If you have kids you should definitely ask for the junior ranger booklets for them to complete
It was an awe inspiring experience. The canyon was a visual treat, looked so majectic from every angle.
Its a Must-See for every person on earth.
We were there on a very slow uncrowded day & even with Covid protocols seemed like a normal day except for a few minor closures. It's not just Covid but popularity of most National Parks in the US by domestic & international visitors that has caused more control & restrictions but it's very organized with consideration to all visitors.
Gosh. Whatever you’ve heard, you just need to make it out here yourself. I can’t say anything others haven’t, but please know that the pictures don’t do it justice. We had 2 hours, and it was worth the entry cost.
