Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Peoria reviews
16This location is a joke. Came looking for appliances & flooring & found cheaper prices for non damaged brand new stuff @ Home Depot. Don’t waste ur time
Small store, some things higher priced then I have found at a store in a different state. A little cluttered and hard to get around with a cart
The corporate office should have left this store alone. This store used to be my go to store for everything, but now is my last resort. In the Past, this Restore was always the first place I looked when I needed something. I would stop in for no reason to say hi to the great staff and just happen to find something. I spent a lot of money in this store, I sent everyone to this store, and I sincerely believed this store was serving the community by making it affordable to fix, maintain, improve and upgrade the properties in it. All the staff that made this store great has since been replaced several times with people that are just there, and the prices are astronomical for nearly everything. What is the point of a Re-store with donated merchandise the same prices as the Home Depot up the street selling it brand new?
This place is over priced and more expensive than buying it new they should be a shame of themselves
You can pick up a good bargain now and then, but some of their appliances can be purchased brand new at a lower price elsewhere.
Great, I went to two and found a nice pull down kitchen faucet, a shower head and a new light fixture for my dining room.
Really enjoyed my visit. Staff was so friendly and nice. Took the time to answer my question with just great customer service. Thank you
Habitat is on our weekly treasure hunt. Two months ago we bought a thousand dollar Bosch 40 SONE dishwasher for $40.00. Works perfectly, yet sometimes I do miss the swish swish sound of the waves at bedtime. My old dishwasher so reminded me of the islands. Slept like a baby. Now I hear every creaky groan of the house when the Santa Anna winds come a howling.
Saturday we found an 1893 Henry F Miller piano for sale at $4,000.00! Four years ago, that piano sold at a local Scottsdale antique store for over $22,000.00. The movers marred up the right rear corner. Something any good cabinet maker can repair for a few Benjamins. I'm sure the first Grand will take it home. This is an heirloom piece. One of a kind addition to any livingroom.
You never know what you're going to find. You always know it when you see it. Happy hunting!
I guess they changed management and it shows. Over priced and weird set up. Thumbs down. Classic case of if it's not broken.then why would you change it?
Love this place! Great for home improvement projects on a budget. Great way to recycle still usable fixtures and materials.
Great place to find great finds, staff could be a little mor friendly, maybe I just caught them on a bad day? Prices are average, paint, lights, furniture & appliances. Great little store and cause
I love this place they have such great items that come in. Ya never know what you will find here. Prices are lil higher then I feel they should be but employees are friendly and helpful as well as good quality items sold for a good cause.
This is a donation related review. They are pretty picky about what they'll take. I get not wanting to have random single boxes of flooring around, but not wanting 160 sq. Ft. Because it isn't the minimum 200, or not wanting a sink because it isnt a trendy style makes it not worth the time to drive things out there. If there were a way to send pictures and see if they will take it ahead of time but otherwise it isnt worth it to not just drag cabinets and fixtures out to the curb.
Scored a couple of good deals. They are a little picky when it comes to donations. I mean, it's a donation. As in free and you make 100% profit. At least act appreciative.
The prices have gone way up! And it's seems to have grown in its products seems to be more organized than before but I thought that this store was supposed to help the community with their humanity developing donations from community to better their habitats more reasonably than larger similar chain stores.
Excellent place to go if your looking for random building materials.mostly do-it-yourself type stuff. The pricing is odd, some items underpriced and others extremely overpriced but there are deals to be had for sure. Worth a look.
