Haiku Tokyo reviews
15It's honestly pretty good. I got ramen and some apps, plus their boba tea. Get the house special ramen. Their pork belly is really crispy and delicious, and they do a great job with their seasoned eggs. Gyoza and cheese wontons are great too. More "authentic" than a lot of Arizona ramen shops but I think it strikes a good balance with an Americanized Japanese menu.
If you want to lose a quick 3-5 pounds, this is your place to go for food poisoning from food with no flavor that tastes ten times worse the second time
Chicken Yakisoba and ramen ordered for first time at restaurant. She acted very put off that I came in to the restaurant. They only had one person at the table eating in restaurant so I'm not sure why the stress she showed. The prices were very high for not that much food although it was tasty, it was not a good value. Will look elsewhere for ramen next time.
Genuinely the worst ramen i’ve ever had. I got the tonkotsu ramen, and the broth had no flavor whatsoever. This, of course, made sure the noodles also had no flavor. Despite what the menu said, my egg was not seasoned, and was also a bit overcooked. The pork was very thin and tough. The only thing I could taste was chili oil, and I don’t think there was any salt in the whole bowl.
Traditional soup, Udon soup, and gyoza was delicious! Service was not bad for how short staffed they were. I would go again.
The chicken my wife and I had tonight was pretty bad. Textured like it was frozen then microwaved just before we picked it up. Won’t be going back. Sad because this place used to be great.
The House special is really good, that being said.
Don't try and use their online order service it's garbage.
You can't make request on Doordash to have things on the side.
The place is understaffed so is dirty a lot of times.
The only thing I can say is call in and pickup.
Cashier had an attitude, staff was not friendly at all, all the chicken dishes taste so bad, will never come back again
Online menu does not remotely reflect what's actually served. Staff has no idea about allergens present in the food, and state they the ownership does not care about these issues. I can't comment on the food because no one could tell me whether or not it contained allergens.
Ordered through Uber eats to pick up. When I got there they told me they told me they didn’t have my meal item in stock. Alright I’m not going to through a fit but a call when you got the order would have been appreciated. Also there rice bowls are absolutely not worth the value, we got the teriyaki/chicken katsu and your basically paying mostly for rice. A couple pieces each of cabbage and three pieces of broccoli (that one got me) … spend your money elsewhere.
If only I could give no stars! First the staff are so rude. Lastly my husband and I got so sick from the food. Eat at your own risk. So not worth it.
Came here for the first time and had a good experience. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was ok, not incredibly flavorfuln it had the perfect amount of red chile oil for a kick. The egg in the ramen was hardboiled, so not my favorite but it was still good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, had a firm chew and held onto the broth well. I only got 1 piece of chashu pork in my bowl. Some parts of it were dry/chewy wild another part was deliciously fatty and fell apart. There were also no soup spoons so enjoying the broth with the noodles was difficult. It seems customers were throwing them away. Overall, it was just a good bowl of ramen.
The worst katsu I have ever had. Who puts American bbq sauce all over the top of katsu?
Edit: I know the difference between katsu sauce and bbq. This was a hickory bbq sauce - it was tangy with a SMOKEY flavor, like something you would find on ribs at an American BBQ place. Not katsu sauce (if it is your attempt at katsu sauce than I definitely won't be back either.)
I love this place, food are so delicious and the environment is clean and elegant. The location is perfect, just next door to Barns and Noble book store. Highly recommended!
I like the ramen here very much. Chewy and fresh, better than most ramen I had elsewhere. The beef soup is tasty too, and l can tell they use fresh beef and vegetables. The price is also good, which costs about less than 15 bucks with everything included. I recommend the restaurant to any ramen lovers.
