This woman changed my appointment the day of and when I courtesy called her to let her know I'd tried to accommodate her change but I'd be 8 minutes late due to heavy traffic, she told me she could not do the mani/pedi at all. When I pointed out I'd tried to accommodate her appointment time change same day, she yelled at me on phone, told me to get a refund (Groupon) and slammed the phone down. "JUST SAY NO" to Nails by Melissa, by Ms. Melissa Federico. She's unprofessional, unreliable, unkind and unstable. I waited 2 weeks for these appointments and wasted 30 minutes in traffic by car, round trip. NO MORE GROUPONS FOR ME DUE TO NAILS BY MELISSA! Calling Chicago. Read other reviews to see bagging out on appointments is a pattern for Melissa. Save yourself the trouble.

Read my 1-star review below under kimberlybkeler. Melissa's entire, rambling response is incorrect. I confirmed a 1: 30pm appointment with Melissa for Monday verbally by phone on Sunday. She sent me a ast minute text changing it to 1: 45pm Monday, then yelled in phone, get a refund, get a refund, refusing to di the mani/pedi service at all. Melissa is either VERY confused, to the point of psychosis, or she just plain lies. STAY AWAY TO SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE. She ruined my schedule for a doctor and a phone interview today.

Melissa is unnecessarily rude and awful when talking to her clients. I tried scheduling an appointment to treat a friend to a mani pedi with her and she got upset and short with me when I had to reschedule because my friend had to work. She does all her appointments via text by the way, which is unprofessional. Then, when I rescheduled, she double booked us at the same time as another client. She didn't let me know this until 10 pm the night before and our appointment was supposed to be at 8 am the next day. I just cancelled it at this point and let her know that I'd be taking my business elsewhere. Over a week later I hadn't even contacted her and she texted me back to say that I was "ugly inside and out. " It was so unnecessary and childish. Seems like someone needs to look in the mirror. Take your business elsewhere to more flexible, polite, and competent nail techs.

I got my first mani/pedi here. It was surprisingly nice. I'd definitely go back again.
The price seemed like a fair/good deal to me. Melissa was very friendly and the process was relaxing. I thought at some point it'd be painful, but it wasn't at all.

I absolutely adore Melissa! She was so sweet and quick. We had an awesome conversation while she worked on my gel manicure that made the time fly by. I was done before knew it! Thank you for your excellent service Melissa!

Just got a gel mani pedi with Melissa for my first time, and loved it! Stellar experience-Melissa is super friendly, personable, and funny. And my nails look fantastic! Will def be back & would highly recommend!

Melissa is an excellent hairstylist who is always willing to help you when you are going through a hard time. She is not only talented at what she does, but she has a really big heart. I would recommend her every time.

Bought groupon for my girlfriend. She called to set up appointment and they never answered instead got a text saying that there to busy to answer. Finally set up appointment via text (really unprofessional). My girlfriend shows up on time for the appointment and know one was there or answering there phone! Customers beware!

Oh my goodness Melissa is wonderful. Not only did she do a fabulous job W/ my Mani Pedi. She is a delight enjoyed my birthday morning chatting, laughing & listening to this beautiful lady. She truly made me feel right at home. Thank you Melissa. I'll be back! 7/23

Best hair cut and color I ever received. Friendly, nice, warm and good price. Highly recommend.
