Harlow Gardens reviews
17I enjoy seeing this place I took my nephew to see if he was interested in plants and info from plants
I had a gift card. A lot of lovely plants and decorative items. Just a little pricey for me. I do love this place though. High quality plants.
Small, friendly, and reasonably priced. It is my local go-to nursery. Picked up a TEP tree and a Eureka tree.
Harlow Gardens is a wonderful oasis located in the desert. The garden's beautiful premises make for a pleasant walk and offer an opportunity to learn about plants. Moreover, they have a team of experts known as "Plant Wizards" who are always willing to help you with any issues that your plants may be experiencing. Tori, one of the "Plant Wizards, " has helped us revive three of our Monstera plants, which were suffering from either malnutrition or root rot. Tori provides excellent guidance by suggesting practical solutions that may benefit your plants. We keep returning to this nursery because of the fantastic environment and the exceptional service provided by Tori.
Cool garden! Lots to choose from.
Tori helped me pick out a nice gift for my friend even with some specifications and a budget! Gloria was super nice as well! Met the nursery kitty Poppy! She was lovely! Thanks for the help!
Beautiful place. Excellent plants. Most are fair priced. All of the plants are in pristine condition. The employees are very nice and helpful.
We are working on revamping our yard and stopped by Harlow Gardens for some questions about picking out plants. Jesse spent a lot of time answering our questions, telling us about recommended timelines for planting in Tucson, and helping us pot some new flowers. He was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back regularly.
We really enjoyed seeing the different displays for flowers that do well in this climate, and the descriptions were very informative. They have a great variety of ornamental, native, and food plants.
Hung up on my 93 yr old father thats in a wheelchair! Not a nice way to treat a handicapped super senior! Would expect a call from owner! Very disappointed!
A beautiful selection, great service, and always a fun experience here if you're a plant lover! I've used Harlow Gardens for landscaping also, and they were very helpful through the entire process, and I was very happy with the final outcome. Bring in your challenged plants or photos of them, and the staff is there to assist. I love this place!
I used to go to Harlow Gardens all the time and spend a lot of money there. One day I was telling an employee about a challenge I was experiencing in my front yard. He encouraged me to buy this spray to use on my mesquite tree. Trusting him, I followed his recommendations. However, the spray didn't work as the employee had indicated. So I returned to the store and explained what had happened. The cashier made a phone call and 15 minutes later, the manager appeared with a big frown, as if we were disrupting her day. I explained again what had happened, and she angrily interrupted me, telling me that her employee hadn't known what he was talking about. To her credit, she gave me my money back. What I remember most, though, was her attitude that the false information her employee had given me was somehow my fault. If the manager treats her customers this way, one can only imagine how poorly she treats her employees.
My mom gave us a gift card to check this place out, we visited once and came back again with the intention of bringing home a large indoor plant. Amazing help from Ernesto, strong knowledge and they potted the plant for me, incredible experience overall!
We engaged Clay Thompson of Harlow Gardens to design and install a side patio with desert cactuses. His crew especially Jorge were outstanding over the course of the project. Despite it being a small project the attention to detail and being responsive was impressive!
Highly recommended knowledgeable and friendly local nursery! Harlow's is my go-to spot for locally grown varieties that are suitable for Tucson. Other nurseries (e.g. Lowe's, Mesquite Valley, Home Depot) advertise and sell plant varieties that aren't conducive to the area but look amazing on their shelves. Higher priced than the big box stores and worth it every time.
This store was fantastic! I wish I had more space in my car, I'd buy all the cactus! Great place for out of town visitors (we came from Colorado).
