I very rarely leave reviews, but Jim’s business is highly deserving of one. I highly recommend Jim if you are looking for a private investigator. He is reliable, honest, and operates with integrity. You can tell he is not working for the paycheck, but he truly cares about the case. Thank you for everything you do.

Harter will pretend to be your friend, then forget to pay you on payday. He will say, "I forgot, you'll have to wait because the system won't let me process it. " I provided work and was not paid for several weeks of completed work. Sometimes, it was several weeks of delay or no pay at all. However, my male counterparts were paid promptly without delay. Also, as a woman, I felt undervalued, harassed, and dominated by Mr. Harter's male chauvinistic behavior. I was belittled and told, "You're just a woman. " In this era, women should not allow this behavior, even in the private sector. Gender discrimination and disparities should not be accepted in today's society, and I'm speaking out for any woman who decides to work at Harter Investigations. I sent google an email about Harter removing reviews. Beware, lots of negative reviews have been removed.

Harter is a crook! He had my review removed, this is the fourth time. Watch out for this company! He also deleted his reply to me on this review! DO NOT HIRE!
I had a terrible experience with the owner Jim Harter. I live in Winslow. The guy was unprofessional, rude and treated me and my daughter poorly. He messaged my daughter online and his messages were threatening to her. We also donated money to help find the Jarrett Brooks kid from Joseph City, boy did I get scammed. I wonder how many more people donated and got scammed? This company should be investigated by AZ Attorney General.

I met with investigators about an issue and they did an awesome job. I highly recommend. They seemed to really care about my issues and my family. Thank you again.

I would highly recommend Harter Investigations services! Extremely reliable, very informative, and great response time. The best part is all the employees (including the owner) are all retired police officers or military so they all have been doing this for years; lots of experience.

When I say they care, I mean it. They will treat you like a person and not a paycheck. They want answers for you and will do everything in their power to get them.
My case is a difficult and confusing missing person case. I had done as much as I can myself (from another state). Molly seen my social media posts and contacted me! I immediately felt comfortable with her. Once she got the go ahead, she took the information I gave her and went “boots on the ground”. She verified information for me. She got people talking. And she kept me safe while doing so. Jim was just as wonderful. He stayed in contact with me, and made sure I was happy with the work being completed.
I honestly believe they worked more than what I was able to pay them for. I appreciate Harter Investigations more than I can ever express.

If you want the job done and not just right but above and beyond, this is the guy for the Job. His heart is bigger then Texas! His compassion unmatched! You can tell he truly enjoys helping others and won't stop till he uncovers the truth. You won't be sorry your called James.
