I had an extremely unfortunate interaction with HearingLife at 7699 E. Pinnacle Peak Road in Scottsdale. I met with my insurance approved Hearing Aid Provider on July 14th at 10am. (Hearing Life of Scottsdale Arizona at 7699 E. Pinnacle Peak Road. Dr Woods was the provider I met with). I had called my insurance representative prior to the appointment to understand my healthcare coverage for hearing aids. I was told that it was $5,000 and there would be no deductible because I had already met my co pay maximum’s for the year. I had provided all of this information including my insurance member numbers, etc to the provider prior to the appointment and reiterated all of that information during the appointment. Post the hearing test Dr. Woods informed me that they had checked with Aetna and they would only cover $3,100 of the cost. I finished the appointment without making a purchase and asked her to have her office check with my insurance again. I also called my insurance healthcare rep again and once again was told my coverage would be $5,000 with no deductible. I called Dr. Woods office and spoke to her again and relayed the information to her once again. On July 26th she finally responded after I reached out several times with no response and told me they had contacted my insurance again and that they would only cover $3,100. I think at best this Dr. And practice are being lazy and not customer focused and at worst they are being deceitful. I have contacted my insurance provider and recommended that they be taken off their list of providers. Please save yourself some time and see a practice that has the Patient/Customer at the forefront of their efforts!

With a simple screening, I found out I have loss of hearing in higher frequencies. Like losing the whole treble range on an audio system.

The testing is free, so now’s a great time to get your hearing checked!

Her genuine empathy and compassion were truly appreciated and helped alleviate anxieties we had about hearing issues. Dr. Contrucci has our respect and gratitude for the outstanding service she provided.

Dr. Gina Contrucci is very knowledgeable and good with senior patients. She is honest and direct about the criticality of hearing in one’s life.

If I could give them no stars I would. Avoid these people at all cost! I was quoted $6,000 to replace my current hearing aids because they told me that they were damaged beyond repair. Wanting a second opinion, I went to Costco where they repaired them in 3 minutes at no cost. These people have no conscience and will gouge you unmercifully.

Traci is very professional and answered all my questions. She also adjusted my Hearing Aids perfectly.
