My best friend of over 16 years passed & Steve was comforting. They picked him up & placed him in a nicely made box. Very professional & under the circumstances I'm very happy with them. Hope i won't have to use them again any time soon.

I am so thankful for Steve and Heart of the Mountain Pet Resort. Like most pet parents my Border Collie boys are so precious to me -my canine children. Until recently they went with me wherever I went (except work). When we had to travel this last April, it just wasn't possible to take them, we were almost going to cancel, but my boss recommended Heart of the Mountain. We didn't want to disappoint our 91 yr old uncle so we decided to give HOTMPR a try. SUCH A BLESSING! Now when we have to go somewhere it's going to be hot, Pal and Joe Boy stay here. Steve takes such good care of all the animals and is so kind and patient with the shy, frightened ones. We whole heartily recommend Heart of the Mountain Pet Resort.

Never judge a book by its cover, this pet resort is sensational. My dog was there for 3 days and there was no problem, he had a kennel in excellent condition, a great comfortable bed but above all Steve was very attentive to all of Austin's needs, he is a very shy dog and even so Steve had the necessary patience so that he felt very good, he is also an excellent person.
The next time I have to leave my dog, I will leave him here again because I can be sure that he will be in very good hands. Thank you Steve!

I was nervous at first because my dog is my baby! But this place is awesome, even cameras so you can watch your fur baby! Definitely recommend!

We are very happy with the way our pet dog Austin was taken care of. Steve works hard to make sure the facilities are clean and safe. He was very attentive to Austin, as we had mentioned that it was his first time bordering at a kennel. We highly recommend Heart of the mountain. Steve is a caring responsible caretaker who enjoys making our beloved pets stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Steve.

Unsolicited, the employee (Steve?) harassed me about mask wearing and went on a conspiratorial rant. Picked up and went elsewhere.

Got to facility with our dog and found out didn't take credit cards. Pulled our dog out of kennel immediately and Steve said since your dog got my kennel dirty technically I can charge you for the day. We said ok fine he said he wouldn't though.

Had us sign the drop off sheet anyway I thought that wasn't necessary since our dog wasn't boarding that day and I questioned it myself as possibly being under handed but said wouldn't charge us which he shouldn't since he provided no service to us.

Suggestion to business if isn't already stated on website. Let your customers know cash only so they don't waste their time going to your place to drop off their dog and possibly having their trip ruined. We should have asked too but should be on website if isn't already!

Also be courteous and professional! If a customer changes their mind DON'T threaten to charge them and be mean because they are paying you and may not want to return if you want to act unprofessional after all they are choosing you and don't have to choose you! Bad way of doing business! Ended up not boarding dog with them especially after way he acted and will not return in the future.

I am not rating the facility just my interaction with Steve. I called to board our husky and while I was confirming the pick up time I needed to be there or choose to book an extra night since we would be traveling home that evening. He let me know that “let me tell you how I run this place and if you’re not back by 11 you pay for an extra day and that’s how it is”. I am fine paying for an extra night because I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it back by 11. And once he told they closed at 6 that I would need the extra night because I knew there was a possibility I wouldn’t make it back by that time either. He was rude and assumed he knew what I was asking before I even stated my question. No thanks we will board at a facility that can communicate with respect.

We were very pleased with this kennel. They took very good care of our Lola. Very clean and Steve has a passion for the dogs. I trust our pets with them. We would definitely use them again

Our dog Sammi doesn't like car rides much and she can get upset with changes to her "routine", but when we pull up to Heart of the Mountain she gets excited. She loves this place, and they seem to genuinely like the pets too.

The facility is clean and I have no doubt that my dogs were well taken care of. I will not be returning due to the fact that I do not appreciate Steve’s attitude. If you are open on a Sunday until 10: 00 am then you should not close until 10: 00. I arrived at 9: 53 to pick up my dogs and was scolded for being late by Steve. I drive from Overgaard. I do not appreciate the nasty attitude we have been treated with the two times we left our dogs there the last two weeks. I prefer to deal with a facility with good customer service something this place is lacking in my opinion.

We took our dog here for 5 days. It was nice that they have cameras so my MIL could see what her second child was up to whenever she wanted. I also used this company previously for my dogs burial and the gentleman was so kind and informative of the process after the vet did not tell me everything. Thank you

Heart of the Mountain is excellent. Steve cares deeply about the well being of the animals and it shows in everything he does.
