Historic Angel's Barber Shop Museum reviews
9 I'm glad I came to this place with historical value
On the way home, I took Route 66
As described. Historic Route 66 icon. The real barbershop room is a real kick. Fun to read the details of Route 66's heyday. Too many souvenirs to ciunt!
My wife and I called into Angel's Barber Shop whilst travelling from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. Angel's is on part of the historic Route 66 and as a result there is plenty of merchandise that reflects this.
The staff were very polite and quite happy to have a conversation around the history of the town and how it was forgotten when the nearby highway opened.
There are bathrooms on the premises which are very clean and tidy. Angel's and the other businesses along Route 66 are well worth a visit, they rely on tourists to make a living and every $ helps.
The legendary hairdresser, creator of the old 66. The chair in which so many stars sat, notably Johnny Hallyday, is still there. A must-see for lovers of the West.
A lovely experience, very well received but the products are more expensive than in the shops next door
Excellent souvenir store with lots of choice and above all a great, smiling and pleasant welcome. I highly recommend.
Such friendly staff and a lovely shop! Very nicely decorated and we were able to take photos in the barber shop and get some souvenirs.magnets, t shirt:)
I went on a tour during my honeymoon.
This is the beauty salon run by Angel, who is involved in Route 66 conservation activities. A lot of Japanese celebrities came and their photos were displayed.
The town is also the setting for Disney's Cars, so there were cars in the store.
