My wife and I worked with Matt Sylvester and he was awesome! Gave us the white-glove treatment and helped us every step of the way. I will definitely recommend my friends/family to buy a home through Homes Direct and will tell them to use Matt!

Don’t trust this company. They will hire anyone and don’t hold themselves responsible for anything their employees do.

They are fine with letting their employees conduct personal business under the guise that it is with their company. It appears they are completely complacent with the wrong doings one of their employees did while under their employment, in their office, while on the clock. They are no help in trying to remedy the situation.

They take no responsibility for their actions. They will try to screw you out of money.

Run, find another company.

I would actually give this place a “no star” review, but that’s not an option! I highly recommend that unless you want your home a year and a half after you sign for it, and you want to be the victim of some schemey business tactics, that you do not buy a home from here. My in-laws bought a home from homes direct. When they bought the home, they were told that homes direct was 200 homes behind but that “it wouldn’t be a problem, and that they would get their home quickly. ” of course, my in-laws being the trusting people that they are, decided to trust homes direct and signed for a house. They were told that initially it would take between six and nine months to get their home. So, they ended up moving in with us, and have been with us since then. It took between six and nine months to get the people out to their property to look at it in order for them to start building the house, and it has taken until now for homes direct to finish building it. But that’s not the worst part!
My in laws ended up signing for a home loan with a company that is associated with homes direct, and the home loan was tied into an agreement that if building the house takes longer than so many months, their interest rate would go up. Homes direct assured them, that they would be done before THAT particular deadline. Of course, once again, my in-laws being the trusting people that they are, believed them. Today is that deadline, and homes direct is still not done building their home. This means that they will have a jacked up interest rate, and they cannot do anything about it since they are committed in this deep. I will tell you right now, I don’t care how much homes direct denies that they did this on purpose, or tries to say that they are not associated with the loan people, this is a lie. This was intentional. Somehow, someway, homes direct is benefiting from the jacked up interest rate, and that is shameful! Right now they have my in law’s house 95% finished, but they have been dragging it out, and I can’t help but feel that they are doing it on purpose, so that the loan gets jacked up, and they benefit from whatever profit that they get from this increased interest rate.
So, whatever you do, DO NOT buy a home from homes direct. You would be better off, building your own house from the ground up than buying from this company. The entire experience, from beginning to end, has been a horrible experience, and if my family had known all of the headache, that they would’ve face in getting a house from this company, they would’ve gone with somebody else. Don’t buy a home from homes direct.

Matt Sylvester is awesome. Throughout the whole process he has been there to make sure everything is going smoothly and efficiently. Homes Direct had a big selection of homes to choose from and we found the perfect house and was able to customize it to fit our needs. If you are looking for a home Matt is the guy to talk to.

Matt Sylvester met us to show us the array of MFG homes that his company offers. He is very personable, listens attentively and crafts solutions for our individual needs. He is careful to make sure that we understand the different features of the homes. Thanks Matt for a very productive visit.

Our salesman Matt Sylvester has been more then helpful through this entire process of purchasing a home from homes direct. After returning to the showroom numerous times to view the models Matts input and attitude was always pleasant and welcoming. If you are shopping for a new home or second home at Homes Direct in Phoenix I would ask to speak with Matt. He will enhance your home buying experience 10 fold! This review was written 10 months ago. In that time I am sorry to say that Matt dropped the ball when it came to following up on issues concerning our new home. Be prepared to deal with any problems with your home directly with the manufacturer. Your salesman will not be anxious to help. Sorry Matt you really let us down in the end.

The model homes are beautiful, and the sales employees are helpful. Currently they only have bigger homes on display, but they are worth checking out to get an idea of tue quality that you can get with manufactured homes. Don’t walk in with the misconception that “manufactured homes are low-cost”. They are relatively lower cost, but Home Direct homes are generally around 200k without a/c, garage, etc. If the land is nearby, delivery is not added on. We noticed there are cheaper options out there, but if you have the money, these homes have a beautiful style and have a high end feel.

My husband and I inquired to Homes Direct, and received a quick response from Matt Sylvester. We were able to set up an appointment with Matt and met with him within a couple of days. Matt was extremely knowledgeable about the Champion Homes. His patience and explanations were excellent. He gave us all the time we needed. Our experience with Homes Direct/Matt was top notch, and we look forward to our new Champion home.

Matt Sylvester has been really great to work with. He is knowledgeable about the requirements in our part of Arizona and and has patiently worked with us throughout the process of ordering, changing, updating and meeting all the requirements that we have asked about, We really appreciate his competence and his quick responses to the questions we have had. I highly recommend him. He is really helping to make this process go smoothly for us.
