Hot Bagels & Deli, Surprise AZ

The other day I went in and placed my order, that I have been placing there for several months with the same cranky man. Plain Bagel, toasted, open face with cream cheese and strawberry jam. He said, "we don't do that. " I said yes you do I've ordered it here, with you, multiple times. He again said, no we don't, what do you want? I said nothing and left. I do not understand why they can't/won't do an open face bagel. I went to Einsteins and was helped with a smile and thanked. They do open faced, toasted bagels with cream cheese and jam, no problem. I would really like to support a Mom & Pop business but apparently they don't need/want my business.

Hot Bagels has been here in Surprise for as long as I can remember and it's an institution here as far as I'm concerned. Definitely the best bagels in town and one of the best breakfast spots.

Great place to come grab some NYC bagels. Friendly staff. Great tasting food, and atmosphere.

We just had breakfast at Ben’s Hot Bagels and Deli and I couldn’t wait to leave a review. Service was fast and friendly. Great menu and options. Bagels and bagel sandwiches were amazing! We had bacon egg and cheese as well as the Nova Lox sandwich - everything was fresh and hot/cold as expected. The bagels were exceptional and the cream cheese was fresh smooth and tangy just like it should be! We can’t wait to come back! Keep up the hard work!

Delicious! Bagels were soft and crunchy and incredibly filling. One bagel would be plenty!

Nice family owned place, where the food was good. Very small cooking grill, slows down they're meal output. Need to invest in larger Guest Checks too. Took our order and clipped it to the cook's slide check rack, which covered the top order. Our order was up, but the top order was missing. So my wife, got her meal after we were almost done with ours. Place is apparently well liked, it was very busy. I hope they don't burn out like a lot of small businesses.

This was our first time here and we had lunch. A #1 breakfast platter and a #11 traditional bagel sandwich. Both were greasy and lacked flavor. The bathroom was dirty with no paper towel. The middle-aged person who was the lone employee appeared apathetic. There are much better bagel shops than this. We don't recommend going here.

Hot Bagels & Deli has been our family's go-to breakfast spot for over 15 years. The employees remember you, greet you warmly and remember your order. The bagels and bagel sandwiches just cannot be better. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

We ordered 2 pumpernickel bagels with swiss cheese, onion and tomato with 2 drinks. Total = $33.00

Best bagels in Arizona hands down…their recipe it’s unique, nobody can compete with them.
Everything is baked daily and cooked to order.
One suggestion will be because my wife is sensitive to gluten …if it’s possible to make and add gluten-free bagels on the menu that will be amazing.
Highly recommend the place.

THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST SERVICE EVER SEEN. I Witness this older man at the counter being extremely rude to an obviously Autistic young girl and a young boy. She placed an order and the employees seemed to have messed up on her orders. She had to go back to the counter 3 times. On top of that they over charged her and would not refund her the difference. In fact they tried to charge her again for the meal. The young girl became extremely distraught and began to cry. The older guy lashed out at her and said "STOP CRYING YOU ARE IN THE WRONG" and he threw some of her change back at her. At this point the the young girl was balling tears and could barely speak.as she started asking other customer to help her. Unfortunately No one there had any back bone to help her. As all the employees started in on her as well, yelling "You have complained 3 times already get out of here.this seemingly helpless young girl then left crying.

Always fast and friendly service. The BEST bagels! Tucked into a corner of a strip mall, hard to see from main road. Makes it feel like a nice hidden gem! Support local business! Way better than Einsteins.
