Hot Topic, Mesa AZ

Always pretty calm here now days compared to before the 19, which is actually nice. This mall store small space setup has stayed much the same/similiar through out the years. They use every inch, on every wall, displaying there merch all the way to the ceiling is where it stops. I love this store going on 18 years now. Never fails to offer something exciting and new as well as old loved favs.

Always fun to look around here. Our kids love it. Always feels closed in and tight in the space.

Very great store and employees but I wish they had more fnaf figures or plushies often but overall great store?

I went to get my grandkids and niece some t-shirts for Christmas presents. It's their favorite store in the mall.

I love finding different things here. Although I don't like that there is no separation between their "intimate" section and their regular section. And they are super pricey and their printed tumblers are cheap (the picture comes off after a couple washes). Also they never have anything over a large, my husband is a 2x because he's tall with broad shoulders but they never carry his size. But other than that I like this store. It's clean and the employees are always helpful.

Lots of cool old school band t-shirts & modern clothing too. Geared towards teenagers. My daughter loves the place.

I’m quite disappointed in the store, to be honest. I wouldn’t normally shop here, but I happened to see some Sanrio merchandise (Hello Kitty, My Melody, et al) in the store as I was passing by. I purchased what I THOUGHT was a set of My Melody charms. The tag board did not say what the product was, and there was a security tag running through each of the charms, so I had no reason to suspect anything was missing. However, when I got home, I noticed one of the twist ties was unused, so I looked at the product online, and noticed it was a necklace with interchangeable charms. I also noticed the store had this item at 30% off. I left a review of the product on their website, indicating dissatisfaction with a one star rating, and a promise to update the review in a day, depending on the outcome of my planned call to the store the following day.

I called the store today, and they stated they did not have another of these necklaces, but that the stores in Tempe and Chandler should. That’s fine. I had plans to drive to Tempe today anyway. I visit the store in Tempe, and they had the necklace in stock, along with a host of other My Melody items not present at the Superstition Springs location. Awesome! Turns out, they won’t price match their online price unless the item is in stock and available to ship. I guess price consistency isn’t something they worry about when their target demographic is naive tweens and young teens. A 29 year old who knows the value of her money isn’t their main concern. Whatever. It’s a couple bucks. I’ll live. I really wanted the necklace anyway.

What really irks me, and is the biggest cause for my low rating here, is the response to my review on their website. Apparently they don’t like something about what I posted in my review, and so didn’t allow it to be uploaded to their product page. I was completely honest in my review, offered to update in a day if the issues were resolved, and didn’t state anything disparaging or inflammatory. I feel it was not approved as a means to shield the company from negative sentiment. Therefore, I’m posting my review here where the company cannot remove it.

I likely won’t shop here again, even if there are My Melody items for sale. We’ll see if the company responds, and if so, how.

Nice workers, they always greet us when we walk in. They also ask us if we need help finding anything. The only thing that was disappointing was that the store was like empty, they don't have as much products like they use to, a lot of open space and not much to choose from. Overall it was a good experience.

Employees are always so nice and helpful I love coming here and plan to start coming more often once I start my new job

Hot Topic: I like coming here to get some shirts, and seeing all the cool stuff that is popular today is nice too. I just got a shrek shirt and i can already tell that i love it. The service is great and people are chill. When ever i want to get a new design shirt that i would like, Hot Topic is a place i would go.
