I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews first. This place was great. Yes, there were stains on the carpet, and yes, it's a tad run down. But I'm so glad I stayed here-the pool, the kind employees, the comfortable bed, the tall shower head, the complimentary breakfast, it was all good. My only complaint was hearing the trains early in the morning. So glad I stayed here.

This bite is an absolute dump. The rooms looked like they had never been cleaned between guests. The entire place needs to be torn down and rebuilt it’s is disgusting. Do not stay here.

The hotel is sandwiched between the highway and freight rail. The constant train horns throughout the night make it tough to sleep.

Choice Hotels property? Would not recommend this be your 1st Choice, 2nd Choice or 3rd Choice for accommodations in Tucson.

The front desk staff were not personable. The pool area / deck only had 3 Chaise Lounge Chairs. The “ DowntownR” bar / restaurant was not open.

The room was disgusting. The pillows full of hair, the 15 year old mattress coverd in stains. The property was coverd in graffiti and rat traps. The manager Tanniela refused to cancel my reservation 10 mins after arrival and charged my card when I refused to stay out of fear and disgust. The pictures on their web site are old and have been edited to look nice. Protect your health and belongings STAY ANYWHERE else

Sure was nice back when it was new when it was the Ramada Inn. It's still a nice place just getting old.

This hotel is very rundown and dirty more like a motel. The worse experience in a hotel EVER

No idea who is in charge of sales here. I called numerous times inquiring about renting space for a wedding and reception. Asked about blocking out rooms for over 50 guests. I was told numerous times that “she will call you back. ” I have been trying for over 3 months and not once has she called me back. Eventually, I called while she was there and she used Covid as an excuse for not calling back. Now I am trying to reach out again for space and it is the same game. “She will call you back” and nothing. I will take my business elsewhere. Never even got a chance to talk numbers.

Per front desk agent, “haven’t had A/C in the public space all summer. Restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner - breakfast was a joke.

This was the second time I stayed at this property. The first time was last year, and at that time, it looked like the property had been recently renovated, and it was comfortable and nice. The front desk clerks on both occasions were not terribly warm or welcoming, but I was able to check in without any issues. I was given a room with two queen beds on the 4th floor. Upon entering the room, there was noticeable debris on the floor-it looked like the floor had not been vacuumed, and the carpet was obviously well stained. The beds had white comforters on them, and on one of the beds, the comforter was stained with something unidentifiable, and there was a small spot of what must have been toothpaste (it was sticky). It was late, and I planned to overlook those things, but then my daughter asked if there was a rodent under the bed. I looked under the bed, and while we were relieved to see that it wasn't a rodent, we found that there were several half-eaten chicken nuggets under the bed. That was a health concern, as food on the floor can attract cockroaches, and uneaten meat on the floor seems unsafe. I called the front desk, and the clerk did not initially exhibit any empathy or apologize for the state the room was in. She said that the hotel was booked up, but she had one room on the first floor with a king bed if we wanted to take that. We moved to the new room, and while collecting the key for the new room, the front desk clerk did apologize, but the way she apologized didn't help us feel any better. She said that she was sorry the room was in poor condition, but there wasn't really anything she could do about that. The carpet in the new room was also stained, but it appeared to be cleaner than the first room. However, the hand towel in the bathroom was well stained with what appeared to be tan makeup, and the fitted sheet on the bed was too small-it wouldn't stay on the mattress. As a Choice Plus member, we were provided with breakfast vouchers for the morning, but given the unclean state the hotel was in, we were concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen and the thought of eating there was unappetizing. We will not return to this property.

This place was straight disgusting. I got a good deal at $80 after tax from Hotwire, but it still wasn't worth it. I couldn't cancel due to the Hotwire deal. I came here because my AC was out and I wish I'd stayed home. My allergies went haywire the moment I walked in; they must have loads of mold somewhere. Room is nasty and there's stains everywhere. Probably won't risk the breakfast. There's trash from prior guests in the bathroom. The chair in this room feels.grimy.

Everything closes after 6 and I checked in at 7. So no pool and no laundry for me. It's a real shame. You can tell by the architecture that this place used to be nice, but they really let it go.

EDIT: I want to add that the receptionist was really nice, and if they cleaned better, fixed the allegens, and opened up the amenities later at night, this place could be an absolute gem. It just isn't right now.

Front desk lady accosted me and my girlfriend, demanding in a rude voice to see our room card to make sure we were guests of the hotel. I assure you that we were not behaving in any way that warranted that, and by the way we had been checked in 5 hours before and that same lady was at the front so she should have just remembered.

Also the lobby is like 90 degrees, they cheap out on AC which is unfortunate because both the guests and the workers looked uncomfortable in the heat (at 11AM)
