Howard Johnson by Wyndham, Springerville AZ

This place had a comfy king which was the only thing good about it. THIS IS A MOTEL NOT A HOTEL. We understand this is an old town with old accommodations but this was unacceptable to us. This message on the toilet tank says it all.

Our complaints are:

Rm 227
Bathroom is in dyer need of a redo.
Shower head way to low
Water temperature impossible to regulate
Something caused a lot of water near toilet and it wasn’t the shower

Received wrong coffee for coffee maker in room

Power went out once

Tv didn’t work and desk couldn’t help us

The housekeeper specifically a blonde one working is absolutely inconsiderate and rude and obnoxious, she will bang on your door and wake you up from your sleep to give you info that contains 0 value and has nothing to do with you. She should be fired. As well as there was a piece of toilet paper with feces on it layin in the bathroom floor the day we arrived. I refuse to ever give this place my business ever again.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. However.the breakfast in the morning was a joke. It was served from 4: 30 until 9. We were there to eat at 7: 45 and there were no eggs.bacon or potatoes. The only hot food was the pancake maker and there was a line up. Lots of disappointed patrons.

My stay was awful. I’ve stayed here before, and never had any issues. This time around, I had nothing BUT issues. My online reservation was nowhere to be found when I arrived. My room barely passed for “clean” and the carpet was filthy. The beds were hard as a rock.

Then there was the breakfast. The “deluxe continental breakfast” that is included in the room rate was disgusting. The scrambled eggs were gray. There was no gravy for the biscuits, no mix for the pancake maker, and the hot breakfast that WAS cooked was gone an hour before breakfast ended. It was never refilled. The front desk clerk so helpfully explained that they didn’t cook a full breakfast because they didn’t have very many rooms rented so it was a waste of money. I ended up having to take my family elsewhere to feed them.

Also, guest laundry was just not available. I was advised that new machines had been brought and hadn’t been hooked up yet. The front desk directed me to an off-site laundromat.

In short, I book a hotel for several reasons. 1. A clean place for my family to rest. 2. I specifically look for a hotel with breakfast included to save on overall cost for my trip. And 3. I have kids, so I book a hotel with laundry facilities for the laundry inevitabilities that come with kids. This hotel met NONE of these, and I wasted time and money I shouldn’t have had to in order to resolve those issues.

I will never stay here again.

Motel room checked all the major boxes: clean, comfy bed, functional A/C, toilet, and shower. No concerns or issues. Typical breakfast setup. I'd stay there again.

The staff were all extremely friendly and the rooms themselves were very nice and the breakfast had plenty to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Decent service, good breakfast, room cleanliness was disgusting. Hair all over bathroom floor, carpet had a crunch feel to it, and it was torn up at the bathroom entrance.

Not a terrible place at all. It's no W, but for a motel, it was clean, comfortable and no lie, best hotel breakfast of the week. Better than the Marriott. We slept great.

I stayed for work for a week. The staff was helpful and the rooms are clean. I was very satisfied with my stay.

This motel was so uncomfortable that we checked out early. The beds were like sleeping on a board, water would not shut off in tub, toilet didn't want to flush. We had a room in the corner and the light was out in the hall making it hard to see where to put our card key. Housekeeping was good.

The service was amazing! The people so friendly, breakfast room amazing. I had stayed yesterday and an awful man came in and started yelling at the staff over hot water. Calling the wonderful breakfast lady awful name. Very uncalled for but other then that my stay was amazing. I hope that other guest had a better day.

I have always stayed here in the past and never had a complaint about The Rode Inn, well yesterday they changed my mind.
My advise to anyone staying overnight in Springerville, Az, Don’t stay at the Rode Inn!

Very clean and comfortable rooms, nice soft beds with extra pillows, friendly staff and breakfast in the morning.

Might be a little pricey
but it's worth it

Price was average for the area.
Room was dated but clean.
Breakfast was mainly cold with an expectation of heating a burrito or breakfast sandwich in the single microwave, which creates a bottle neck. Breakfast began at 4: 30 which was very nice fir us as we needed an early start.
No ice machine available, but you can request one small bag of ice from the front desk. Any additional ice incurs a charge.

Good little place. Friendly and professional staff. Alot of cosmetic repairs need to be effected inside the room 114. Quiet & comfortable. All in all not a bad place. Just need to get on the repairs.
