Dr. Insel was my doctor for 20 years. He has retired and it will be a challenge to find a doctor who was as kind and as caring as he was, not to mention an excellent diagnostician.

Dr Insel is truly one of the most caring and compassionate physicians I’ve seen or worked with.

I was referred to Dr. Insel by my P. A.at TMC back in 2022, and 2023. Four faxes were sent to his office. In 1992, I underwent a thyroidectomy with removal of 2 lymph nodes. Today, I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and recommended to start Prolia injections. I am on medicare with a supplemental insurance. I have called his office 4 times.
Each call was met with the same answer. Your file is on his desk. We will call you as soon as he reviews it. I am still waiting a year later. I really do not understand why he accepts NEW PATIENT.

I called to make an appointment after doing my research on this doctor and others and had to wait 3 months for my appointment. I have to say that it took two phone calls to get anyone to call me back to make the appt. The 2nd call I pressed that I was a Dr so they picked up the phone and I made the appt. Well a couple of days before the appt they called to confirm and left a message that my appt was with a PA! I didn’t make an appt with a PA but the doctor and called them back and all they offered as an excuse was they must have gotten you into the first available appt. Three months I waited: months. Didn’t offer to squeeze me in nothing. I cancelled. It seems a good dr is only as good as his support staff. It’s hard to find good drs around here

Not only is Dr Insel a fantastic Doctor but he is the most caring Doctor my son has ever seen. He always makes it a point to listen to all of our needs and is super compassionate. My son has a VERY rare form of Cancer called Langerhans which attacked his hypothalamus. If I could give him 10 Stars I would. Please remember it is not fair for you to give him a 1 Star if you didn't like the office staff because once you meet him you will see he well deserves 5 STARS.

First of all I was put on hold for about 20-30mins when finally they were able to talk to me they had to transfer my call to the endocrine office

Second of all my referral was URGENT and the lady said urgent or not the doctor (DR INSEL) has to choose whether he wants to see me as a patient or not. So I can’t do anything about it. And she said even if it’s URGENT it will take them a week or two to get me scheduled.

What kind of medical facility would choose to who to treat? He might be a good doctor but their protocols and whoever I spoke to is not what a medicinal facility should run.

I am a nurse and I would never do this to a patient. I would even advocate for them not treat them as garbage.
