Ironwood Veterinary Clinic reviews
16Charlie was very comfortable there… They did a beautiful job removing his growth and putting his stitches in. They were very professional yet comfortable like an old friend. They gave me details on his pain meds and his anabiotic‘s… The cone was not too big for his head to cone was perfect size for a little dog. I’ve seen people put big cones on little dogs. And my dog was very happy when he left and when he came home he was still happy… So I know his surgery and everything they did was pleasant for him and that makes me happy. If my dogs not happy I’m not happy… Charlie will be going back and this will be his permanent veterinarian
My 2 year old doodle became ill suddenly. They were able to get her in same day. Thankfully, it wasn't serious. They took great care of her.
I'm reposting this review so that all of this years snowbirds can see it. Stay away from this deceitful place. ATROCIOUS and UNETHICAL! At first, I left this clinic feeling good. Both the tech and the vet spent a LOT of time with me, which seemed nice. BUT, as the days went by, I realized I had been duped. It was too much time. 2 1/2 hours for a wellness exam, a vaccine, poop check and micro chip? The first red flag that didn't register at first was a hard, professionally printed sign on the wall of the exam room, that rude and abusive behavior won't be tolerated. What? Why is this necessary? ! I asked for blood to be drawn to be sent off for a titer test on my newly adopted 1.5 year old dog. They refused because they charge 4 to 5 times what hematopet charges on line. My dog pooped right in front of the office and there was a worm in the poop. I thought; great, what better place. So, I bagged it up and brought it in. They told me they did a fecal float test and brought the bag in and said their was no worm. I didn't see it then. I strongly suspect they threw it out so I would have to come back. Two days later; yup, another worm. I called an ethical vet that looked at the picture I took and identified it as a tape worm and said I could buy medicine over the counter at Tractor Supply to kill it. Then, the worst of all. I had them micro chip my dog. DO NOT GET THE HOME AGAIN MICRO CHIP! I ignorantly believed that all micro chips were the same so I didn't know at the time to ask about it. With no explanation at all they injected that garbage into my dog. They scanned it with a wand and all I saw were numbers. Again, no explanation on their part, I saw it myself. I asked why my name and phone number didn't come up. They made a big act of it and said that would be weird or creepy, ALL someone needs to do is Google that number and and they would find a link to the chip company. Like there are people walking the streets with chip readers getting people's personal info that way. When I got home I went on line to the Home Again Chip company to register. After giving all of my personal info, the chip number came up no good, so I called them. After a 20 min wait I was talking with someone in Asia I could barely understand. After a long and painfuly awkward phone exchange, I was told I'm all registered. Two days later I get an e Mail to continue registration. I went on line and once again the number wasn't read. I called again and waited on hold another 20 min. I had to sign up all over again. When done I saw a message that said service would be ending soon. I asked about this and was told the vet signed me up for 90 days of service for the $55.fee. After that it would cost me $25.a month FOR THE REST OF MY DOGS LIFE! No one at the vets office mentioned this. I called them and said I wanted my money back for this flim flam extortion scam and they refused. They said that I CONSENTED when I asked for the dog to be micro chipped! In my opinion both the Ironwood Veterinary Clinic and the Home Again micro chip company should be shut down. Remember EVERY DAY, IN EVERY WAY, BUYER BEWARE! Also, with this site, and every site online that has reviews. I met an English major grad student that said he had a job writing reviews on line. Of course he was told to always give 5 star ratings. So, when you see almost all reviews are 5 stars, they are fake. If you doubt this, I encourage you to go to yelp and see all of the honest 1 star reviews this place received.
The staff at Ironwood are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, informative and cared for my fur baby with expertise. I am a happy camper.
Charged me office visit price but refused to see my pet. Appointment card had wr I ng time so I was late and they refused to pet. Staff not nice either. Would not take any pet there. They do not care about the animals just the money
Giving a Five Star pretty much some's it up for me. Everyone is well trained, professional and knowledgeable, on the phone and in the Clinic. As a bonus, prices are very fair. Very important for this guy.
Have always received great service and customer care, accomdating with last minute schedule changes when possible friendly staff. Enjoy taking my pets here!
Front desk is always friendly, which is rare these days, so it's very much appreciated Fantastic staff and Dr Hartman is an incredible vet who listens and cares for ur fur babies!
Ironwood veterinary clinic is completely incompetent. If it were for a listening ear, and proper professional diagnosis, our loved and deeply missed kitty, Lulu would still be alive. No outcome from this dismal experience was worth the time that was wasted, blatantly misdiagnosed and ultimately took the life of our beautiful baby.
When you need to get in RIGHT NOW they make room. The staff is so friendly and remembers my cat every time!
The front office staff are all super friendly and helpful. Dr. Hartman was thorough and easy to talk to, didn't feel rushed at all. I appreciate that, a lot.
I really like this vet. The staff was very welcoming and friendly as was the Doctor. The price was very reasonable, not like other vets who charge a considerable amount of money. I will continue to take my animals here.
We got in quickly and the staff were great and offered good explanations and directions. We are snowbirds and it is very reassuring to have a reliable, accessible veterinarian here in Yuma.
I've been going here for 16 years and the staff has always been helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Brought dog in with ear infection & was treated VERY well. One application of medicine we were prescribed & our fur baby feels better already. Veterinarian took plenty of time to explain things.
A bit spendy but being from out of town we are thankful Ironwood was able to get us in that day. Thank you
Ironwood Vet has one of the best staff, caring, Loving and great customer service. God bless you all for caring the way you do.
Thank you all for loving my puppies Lucas & Violet
