Jared Dean Schwarting, FNP, San Tan Valley AZ

If I could rate him a 0 I would. NP Jared Schwarting nearly KILLED my mother in law this year. When she graduated from Hospice in 4/24/23, all of her prescriptions were sent over to his office for refills and continuation of care as he WAS her PCP. Usually when a Dr/NP fill prescriptions for a patient he hasn't seen in over 6 months they require an office visit. Nope not this time. He filled her 5MG Prednisone steroid prescription she uses for her COPD. She was unaware he filled it for 50MG, so she was taking this steroid for nearly 15 weeks. If you didn't know, High dose steroid log term toxifies your brain and can cause you to literally lose your mind as if you're having a schizophrenia episode. It's taken 8 WEEKS and her brain will never fully recover, her mental capacity will never recover, the trauma she endured during her 5 week stay at Banner Del-Webb mental facility caused. We have hired an attorney and have filed a complaint with the AZ Board of Medicine where he currently holds his NP license. DO NOT USE JARED SCHWARTING HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU OR KNOW WHAT HES DOING.

Absolutely will not see this practitioner again… my husband had the exact same issue.supposed to order an x-ray stat.
Ended up being routine… said he would come back to the room with my “stat x-ray “ the MA came in, and I literally had to call him back in to figure out what the heck I was doing with my knee.still no call, still, no x-ray results, I will never see this person again.

I scheduled with Jared because of his ratings, I also use to work for banner so i know prob most of these reviews are either coworkers that see him or friends, so i wanted to atleast give him a chance. I personally was not impressed with him or staff.the medical assistant was not professional she made no effort to actually ask my chief complaint she rushed me to explain and took my vitals while i was talking. (not suppose to do that) when the provider walked in he made zero eye contact didnt even reach out and shake my hand, starred at his computer and typed the whole time.my concerns were pretty serious. Ive worked 12 yrs in healthcare and when a patient says palpitations and chest pain a ekg is automatically ordered.nothing for me just he listened to my breathing ordered some labs only cuz i advised him of my family history.i def did not feel welcomed at all or cared for. All i want was a pcp that is concerned and listens. His whole demeanor was very intimidating and made me feel as if he didnt have time for
my concerns. I will not
return to jared.

I honestly do not like banner as a company and most of the hospitals are terrible.
However Jared and the staff are always on top of things and take really great care of me. I definitely recommend Jared. He actually listens to every concern unlike most other Doctors.

Highly recommend Jared! He's been an awesome doctor to me for a few years now. GREAT bed side manners and very helpful/knowledgeable.

I moved from Ca too Az few months ago an dr i was seeing just wasnt on top of things like referrals, so on 1st visit with this dr he had all my referrals done same day and was very nice an thorough.
