Josephine's Restaurant reviews
16 The food was excellent.
The staff was polite, attentive, and friendly.
Was a uniquely private and enjoyable dining experience, even if the pharma company giving a presentation sort of ruined the atmosphere.
Food was great. My only complaint was we had a reservation and the table they picked was in direct sun. They found us a better table and all was good. Service was wonderful. We had the lettuce wraps, cioppino, Diablo Mac n cheese, and the red snapper special. For dessert bourbon pecan pie, zeppoles. We will be back
What a fantastic gem up in the friendly and cool climes of Flagstaff. Soothing live music, great wine list, and a very creative brunch menu. Oh, and of course, a rainbow in the distance, as our back drop.
Went to Josephine’s for brunch and was throughly impressed. Erin was amazing, gave me the best Bloody Mary. Alyssa was an amazing server, and so quick and prompt. I look forward to returning. Thank you for the excellent service. Ashlynn greeted us and Erin served us drinks while we waited for our table!
We loved our Sunday brunch. The food was good for all and gf options were readily available. The service was a bit of a challenge—drinks were slow to come and certain orders were not put in correctly.
We were visiting Flagstaff for a weekend of July 2022. My husband and I went to Josephine’s restaurant at 6: 45pm on Saturday, July 9th of 2022.
Of course, we did not know that we needed a reservation for this restaurant. Their website does not state it so. Nonetheless, we walked-in. As we walked in, no one, I mean NO ONE acknowledged us. Moreover, the hostess passed by us and not did not acknowledged us but when we approached her hostess stand, she spoke to us without an eye contact.
We respect that each place choose its own operating systems.
We also understand that customer service is vital to any business. It is commonly known as symbolically the heart of the business. The customer service is absent here to say the least. If their customer service has been experienced differently by other people, my husband and I are confident that it is not based on their hostess or first experience contact. Unless,
Of course, they are already patrons of this same venue. Otherwise, choose another venue. This town is full of good options that will be very welcoming to you and not treat you obnoxiously snotty!
Everything I've ever tried at Josephine's has been amazing! I especially recommend the Fried Green Tomato Queso Panela 'Caprese' and Baklava Baked Brie appetizers, and the French Onion Braised Short Ribs are the most tender, flavorful short ribs I've ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive!
Everything about Josephine's is great. You have a spacious outdoor patio to enjoy the Flagstaff weather. Huge wine selection. A delicious cocktail menu and a cuisine that will hit everyone's pallette just right.
I chose a nice glass of Pinot noir and the trifecta to get a little shrimp, steak & crab cakes. Wishing I would have ordered the crab cake appetizer because it was so delicious I wanted more. The wife had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned and mother-in-law had the special which was sea bass that day with some couscous and I had order envy because that looked delicious too.
The cocktail menu is very diverse with great flavor profiles. Highly recommend the split base gin and Mezcal cocktail that has just thread a spice and once the dilution kicks in it's a crushable drink.
Dined at Josephine's for the second time on a trip to Flagstaff this week. Outstanding experience just as the first time was. We had the fried green tomato appetizer, the bacon-wrapped filet and the French onion braised short ribs with risotto. Everything was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. If you live in or visit Flagstaff, this is the place for a fine meal!
Order the Baklava Baked Brie and the French Onion Braised Short Ribs! They were AMAZING! The special, the evening we went was a NY Strip with horseradish cream sauce. It was fantastic also. We aren't typically fans of NY Strip because it's a fairly dense cut, but they did something to that steak to make it taste amazing. I honestly wish I could give 6 stars.our experience was that good.
First, my wife and I played musical chairs because the reservations didn't mean anything. We were placed in an area that was so cold and breezy, we had to move. Mainly the food was not as good as expected, it was tender just not hot.
My mom and I were looking for a place to have dinner, and we found Josephine on Google. The outdoor seating was accommodated by perfect cool weather and the beautiful decorations of greenery below the shade of the trees. The service was great, and the food came out quickly. We ordered a couple glasses of the Gabbiano Pinot Grigio and finished them next to the fire pit after dinner. Josephine is a wonderful restaurant that I will add to the list for my future visits to Flagstaff!
This place is great. Cozy ambiance, awesome patio, I had the Turkey and fried green tomato sandwich and it was amazing. The Caesar salad was super unique with crunchy chickpeas on it, I really liked it. I also loved my mojito. I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been good, but this time was exceptional.
A culinary oasis amoung the fast food and chain restaurants. All vegetables were fresh and done just right. Crab cakes, shrimp and steak were devious. Great wine list.
We'll definitely stop the next time we are in Flagstaff.
Took the wife for a dinner date off many recommendations. Very well worth it! The service, the atmosphere, the food, all just wonderful. This is a high priced, sit down, and enjoyable restaurant. The flavors are savory, and the helpings are spot on. Very highly recommended this restaurant.
Beautiful place and nice atmosphere with fireplaces. Plenty of gluten free options on the menu and well-marked. Not many vegetarian options as the focus seems to be seafood and meat. A very sad side of rice was $7.
