Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists reviews
5Honest and open with cost. Jesse was very friendly and informative. Hard to find a mechanic you can trust but this is one you can.
I do not have any issues with the work performed on the vehicle, just the overall integrity of the shop. I brought in a 2007 Toyota 4Runner for a pre-purchase inspection. I felt it was necessary due to the age and mileage (07,200k). The inspection was completed, and I paid $89.99 plus tax for the service.
Kelly Clark Automotive went over with me in full detail the condition of the vehicle. They stated the car was in good condition and just needed general maintenance, plus a new radiator. However, the seller informed me that Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists had offered to purchase the car for a few dollars more and cut me out of the sale.
Luckily, the seller believes in karma and turned down Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists' offer, selling the vehicle to me. This review has nothing to do with the quality of work Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists performs, just the INTERGITY of the shop.
They were really nice and helpful and got to my car right away. The price was very fair and they called me when my car was ready and it was done in the time they estimated.
I had my battery replaced by them on 4/18. Literally 2 days on 4/20 my car dies on the street. I go to AutoZone and they tell me my alternator is bad. Mind you I am not the most educated on cars. AutoZone explained to me that the alternator is an essential part of the charging system connected to the battery. I asked both AutoZone and my new auto shop whether it was appropriate business practice that Kelly Clark replaced my battery without checking my alternator and they both said it is extremely careless and unprofessional. How are you car experts who replace a battery and don't check the alternator health? Cheap and careless service. It took 2 minutes for the AutoZone employee to come out and test the alternator.
On top of that I recieved quotes for some repairs from my new auto shop and they were all consistently 50 dollars lower than what Kelly Clark gave me.
I don't even write reviews like this but for the cost of the car repairs and the carelessness of their service, I would recommend all prospective clients to head to a different auto shop.
