Amazing! Staff was so friendly and kind. So amazing how it’s walking distance to the downtown area!

Our experience was mediocre. We brought our dog and received a 2nd floor room, which was less than desirable. Also we had requested a king bed, and received a double queen. It was never communicated to me that half of the hotel was totally under construction and there was also a wedding in the center courtyard one evening which literally took up the entire courtyard area.

Some of the staff was very friendly and accommodating and some staff seemed just outright confused and less than accommodating at times. Total mixed bag.

If you can splurge on staying at the L'Auberge de Sedona next door, I would recommend that hotel experience 10x over the Amara.

Wow! The staff here is amazing. Special yell out to David, Ally, Chevy and Taylor. I could not even of imagined service like this. Better than what I have had at a Four Seasons. Different ownership this year an a much improved place. Wish we were staying more nights.

Ally: came and found us at the pool to give us our room keys. Really? How awesome is that.

David at reception ran to valet parking two times for me as I forgot my cell phone and the valet guy forgot to get my shoes out. He then was so amazing to bring all my shoes up when we went to dinner and delivered a bottle of champagne. Wowza!

Taylor let me take his iPhone charger back to my room to change my phone for an hour. Chevy was amazing to talk to and very amazing to talk to.

Why can’t I have these kind hearted people in my life all the time? !? !

Wowza. Amazing service.

We were able to work with Lena starting in December 2020 for our June wedding. She was always very easy to reach via email, which made it a lot easier for us since we were planning from South Carolina. The Amara is obviously such a beautiful venue, and we were able to stay a few nights prior to our wedding. The staff was always so helpful, and Lena even sent us some wedding treats, which were so appreciative!

The only issues we had:

1) There was some confusion with the pricing. We were charged for the Courtyard and the Meditation Room, even though we had only planned to use the Courtyard for both our ceremony and reception. However, this was fixed and we were not charged for the room.

2) The fountain was still operating during our ceremony, even though it was requested to be turned off. Someone tried to turn it off while I was about to walk out, but it was too late by then. Unfortunately, this made it difficult for our friends and family back home to hear the reception via livestream.

3) If you book the Courtyard, please be aware that the Salt Rock Cafe and pool are still open. People will be moving during your time. We even noticed that three women who were neither invited to our wedding nor known by any of our friends and family tried to start a conga line during our reception.

Despite the minor issues, we loved our time and experience at the Amara and cannot wait to come back in the future as husband and wife!

We stayed at Amara over Memorial Day weekend. While the resort is lovely, it is the staff that make the stay exceptional. From the Valet who helped us take the top off our Jeep, to the front desk who arranged our tours, to our amazing bartender, Danny, who never missed a beat with out drinks and gave us exceptional advice for all our hikes. We felt extraordinarily well taken care of at every point during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Such a zenful, calming experience and I am so happy to have found such a nice quality and beautiful oasis! I will most likely be back. If not to Amara, definitely to at least Sedona, Arizona!

Very clean and an unbeatable location. We saw that they were very dog friendly. The staff is super attentive. The restaurant over looks a court yard that has Adirondack chairs, corn hole and lounge chairs. Very comfortable environment to chill with a cocktail, view gorgeous rock formations and people watch. Our room was on the first floor so it was really enjoyable to just walk out the sliding doors and have access to the amenities.

I had very high hopes for this spa and hotel. We had so many problems with checking in, our room the things that were wrong in the room I really had had higher hopes and was really disappointed. The only saving grace was Robert the bartender who was absolutely magnificent he made this day truly memorable

It was ok,
If you are looking for a quiet place to get away this isn't it!
Noisy activity in the courtyard well after midnight!
Rooms are not worth the cost, and a bit dirty.

Such an amazing resort! My wife and I spent the weekend there with our French Bulldog, and we had the most amazing weekend! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly! Such a dog friendly resort, with water bowls and dog treats in the lobby. The bartenders are friendly, with free happy hour every evening. Lawn games, an infinity pool, and just a great relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!

There was nothing to do unless you drink. The menu was very limited, and the prices where outrageous if the food tasted good I wouldn't complain so much about there dining room. You couldn't get a appointment for the spa. I will say this it was our 21 anniversary and going there, was awful I dont ever want to even see Sedona again. I could say more but I won't it makes me sick thinking about that place.

Decent hotel. Don't love that there isn't access to an ice machine. They say they can bring I've to your room but it's not very much when you're trying to pack a cooler. Good views.

Really clean and well put together place. Views were fantastic in the common area and access to Oak Creek was icing on the cake. Also loved how dog friendly everything was. Would definitely come back.

It was our first time staying at this hotel and we love it. Their customer services here is excellent. From valet parking guys, to front desk, to room services they were fast and super helpful.

Kevin, from the front desk was so helpful and super friendly; he had a smile on his face the whole time helping us even though it was 10pm. Very knowledgeable of the area too.

The room is super clean. It has almost everything you need there. Our room was by the creek, so it was quiet and peaceful.

We enjoyed our stay at this location and the service here was much appreciated. It made the stay more enjoyable.

The pictures and the views are as good as advertised. Amazing. The Amara is very comfortable and we will return one day.

The Sedona area is a gem. Absolutely gorgeous.

Had high expectations after the Kimpton Seafire however we were let down here. Room feels old and smells a bit dingy. The washcloths were stained and the soaps and shampoo were pumps like you would find at the country club or gym. NOT what we we're expecting. Nice courtyard area and staff seems attentive.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting in the middle of Sedona and is only a short walk up the hill to downtown! The pool, spa, and outdoor lawn spaces are all extremely nice and the restaurant was fantastic. The rooms were quite nice and the stay was all around great!
