The campground itself was great! Becky, the camp host was super friendly and helpful and the campground was spotless. The first night was great and worth the $20. The 2nd night, somewhere around me was a huge party, with very loud music, talking, and yelling until 5am.

I should have driven around to find these rude people who chose not to follow the 10pm-6am quiet time, but I didn't and that's my fault. But my lesson learned and reinforced was dispersed camping is definitely for me. I've never had any problems dispersed camping. Have a great day

Great location and friendly hosts from what we experienced. It was well kept and the bathrooms did not stink at all which is always nice. We love camping, and this will be a place that we go to again when we want to camp at a paid site. Most other campers were friendly and courteous. The people next to us were lighting a fire every night even though there was a strict no burn due to fire restrictions. That would be the only downside of this trip. Not the hosts fault though.

Very cool and happy that the access to the lake is a dirt road maintained by the forest service. Being at the Mongolian rim is always slightly to very windy due to the weather drafts. Always prepared for the elements is important to have a great time. Can't say enough about how quiet and serene it is.

Off the beaten path for a reason, too far for The riff Raff to mess it up. Clean, spacious, well maintained sites for Campers. Had a great relaxing weekend, will camp here again.

Great camp ground some sights leading to it can be confusing especially the 4.5 miles out sign where you are supposed to go right but may accidentally go straight LOL. The road leading up is super bumpy so take your time. The campground it’self is great it’s a nice set up the only issue when we went is the campfire ban it kinda sucked not having that opportunity but it’s the summer so they gotta be careful

Great campsites - clean and we'll kept area. First come first serve but there was plenty of camping sites available even over memorial day weekend. Lake is great for kayaking and trout fishing. We did both.
The only draw back is the 21 mile wash board dirt road to get to the campsite.

We spent one night here on May 26th. It was very clean and well kept. Probably one of the nicest individual camp sites that I have had anywhere. Since it was a Tuesday night early in the season, only a few campsites were occupied, so it was super quiet. It was chilly, lows were around 40. There are several vault toilets that were clean and well kept. We fished in the lake several times. We didn’t catch anything, but that’s probably us and not the lake. It took us about an hour and 10 minutes to drive the gravel roads along the rim into the campground. Roads were nice in some spots and rough in others. I am glad that we made the trek in to this beautiful location.

Gated off on 5/13. Nothing at all concerning closures online, so I got all the way there and had to turn around and find another place to camp. Stage 1 fire restrictions mean the campground closes down? Some notice would have been great.

One of the best sites I've camped at so far. It is rocky as heck so make sure to bring a sturdy truck, 4x4, AWD or any of the kind. There is a picnic table at each site, a bathroom, and the lake is about half a mile up the road. For sure you might see deer and such. A worthy place to spend a weekend!
