Just passing through enjoying a picnic along the way. Impressive my husband and I would love to book a cabin this coming summer, loved the set up, views, and near by attractions.

Front desk service was not helpful at all, rude and unprofessional. When we arrived the front desk guy (Jacob) was checking us in. He gave us bathroom kit and said " here you go this is for I dont know who" it's like.what do you mean dude? You're checking us in and you don't know our name? Rude and unprofessional! On the evening I came to Jacob again to ask if they had a travel crib or polo bed so we could put our baby to sleep there and he said " we can't provide you with any of those because it's a fire hazard, but we can give you some extra blankets and pillows" fire hazard? Having bed for baby is a fire hazard? Really? Anyway I said I would like to have those extra blankets and pillow, he told me they would bring it to our room. Stayed 2 nights and nobody brought us any extra blankets or pillows as promised.
Shame on you Jacob for not providing quality service to your guests.
I hope that someone from management will see that review and do something with it so other guests can have positive experience.

The room we got in the lodge was cozy and well equipped. Featured a stove top, sink, garbage disposal, toaster, fridge and microwave. Plus some dining Ware and cook Ware.
The rooms had it's own patio with chairs to sit outside and enjoy the weather. We took advantage of the lobby's movie selection and checked out some movies, they also lent us a wine bottle opener. Everyone there was very courteous, professional and helpful.
The food at the restaurant was awesome.
It was close enough to town that if you wanted to go out there was alot available just within a 15 min drive.
We had an excellent weekend and will love to return again!

Beds are firm but nice, love that you have your own patio areas. Restaurant food isn't all that but the staff is very friendly.

Absolutely love it! Beautiful area! Had a creek just behind our room, a stable, and a heated pool and hot tub. Great place to go to get outdoors.

Kohl’s Ranch Lodge is a gem in the middle of one of the most beautiful areas in the country. Just a short 15 minute ride to the Tonto National Park Ridge, and other beautiful forest areas, filled with hiking trails and other attractions, Kohl’s is perfectly located if the outdoors is your thing.

The Lodge itself is impeccable: clean, very well maintained, with very comfortable amenities, and incredible - did I say incredible? - food. Nothing I say from this point forward will do it justice, but nonetheless I try:

The cuisine is amazing! Their fire oven pizza is the best I’ve ever had; and I’ve had a lot of pizza. For a Lodge in Arizona to outdo famous pizzerias from Chicago and New York City, for example, is a feat! I highly recommend the Brisket Pizza! Their TexMex menu is outrageously delicious, and even their breakfast was phenomenal. Everything is made from scratch, and fresh, on site, including the pizza dough, sauces, jams, and breads.

The staff takes friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness to another level of excellence. The constant smiles and warmness about them - from the receptionists to the waitresses to the bartenders - is intoxicating.

The lodge comes with WiFi that actually works and is not slow! Even with what seemed to be close or at capacity, I had no trouble accessing the internet! Although there are some “no connection” areas within the lodge’s areas, where it matters the most (your room, bar and restaurant areas), you won’t be without WiFi.

And the outdoor heated pool and hot tub - when the temperature is in the 30s outside - were a perfect end to a long hike.

All-in-all, this place ought to be a destination for all those who seek an outdoor adventure to get in touch with nature. The area is beautiful, Kohl’s Ranch is amazing, and the people make it a very special place to visit. A return there for us is now inevitable.

The staff was so friendly. The rooms were small but very cute and comfortable. It was very quiet and felt secluded. We would definitely stay again when we travel back to the area.

Great Christmas, grandkids had fun. Everyone there was helpful and cheerful for having to work the holidays. Kitchen staff still having trouble estimating amounts necessary for gust. Attention to customers has proved, but they ran out of dinner specials 2/3 thru the dinner hour. We plan on going there again next year, only eat early.

We loved our weekend get-away at Kohls Ranch. The staff was friendly and had great recommendations for activities in the area. The room was clean and quiet. The attached restaurant had a good atmosphere and even better food.

When the temperature here in the valley hits the appropriate temperature of the face of the sun, this has to be your go to retreat!

Tucked away in the high country of Arizona, you'll not only enjoy the cooler climes, but the local hospitality will go a long way as well.

Stroll the grounds.take in a game of horse shoes as the mountain breezes keep you cool. Make sure to visit the trout hatchery. Fun for adults and kids alike!

Make sure to make a reservation in advance as this place is well known and very popular.

Thanks for reading

At first we were disappointed that we weren't going to be along the stream that runs along the property but then we realized the benefits of not being along it. Such as mosquitoes and people. Plus because our cabin was so close to the grass we could go play games or sit on a swing anytime we wanted. I highly reccomend playing any of the games they have available. They are dumb but fun because how often do you actually play them? We found a few spiders in our cabin but i expected that considering we were close to water. Was very very happy to see that there was barely any spiders outside on the deck. Made it to where we weren't too worried about getting bit while listening to the woods at night. A dog pooped on our deck the second day so it made us not really want to sit out there. Would love to visit this place again. The pics are from our cabin 2 bedroom deluxe cabin. The only negative i have to say was that the master bedroom shower was super small compared to the guest bedroom shower and that the door to the shower pops open easily if you accidentally hit it. Lets all the hot air out.

Nestled in the largest Ponderosa Pine forest, at the base of the Mollogon rim; this hidden gem is one of a kind. Very rustic with modern day accommodation's. The Zane Grey BBQ restaurant is on site and serving excellent food. Heated year round pool and jacuzzi and a generous amount of available amenities.

Such a beautiful place! I took my wife to a cabin for her bday just the 2 of us i paid a fortune plus a cleaning fee for something not even dirty. Ive been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Step outside in the morning and take a deep breath life is great when im here. And love the bbq there. I made me n my wife the best dinner. And the price is nice. When can i move in? Would if i could.
