Kommareddi Sitara MD, Tucson AZ

I saw Dr. Kommareddi for a gall bladder surgery consultation and she was very kind and professional. She didn't suggest that I have the surgery now, since I haven't had any symptoms for a while, and she even said I could call her if the symptoms started and she would help make me comfortable, until such time that the surgery was really needed. I appreciated her not "jump in there and take it out" mentality.

I DO NOT recommend this doctor if you are a past trauma survivor. Unless you enjoy having your trauma presented against you as proof for why you need a different kind of help. Everything else was fine. She just isn’t good with trauma survivors!

Dr.kommareddi is fantastic, thank you for what you do and how you do it. Like a tactical sniper, that gull bladder probably didn't see it coming.

I called on 10/4/2021 to make an appointment with Dr. Kommareddi as a new patient. I spoke with Dulcio (sp?) and her first comment was that she had a lobby full of patients and she would have to call me back. She then asked who I was referred by. When I said that I wasn't referred, my insurance is Medicare/Aetna and neither requires a referral, she said that she would have to check because she didn't know if those were acceptable plans. That was surprising to hear since Dr. Kommareddi is definitely listed with Medicare and Aetna. I guess both insurance companies have the wrong information. (The good doctor might want to check on that.)

I never did get a return call from Dulcio. Not surprising since I clearly don't meet their standards.

My suggestion to Dr. Kommareddi is this: I understand you're busy. Everyone is. However, if you are so over-burdened by your patient load wouldn't it be more professional to have your front office kindly say that you are not taking new patients rather than take a condescending approach to what insurance a person has and how full your lobby is?

The dr was harsh, and she became irritated when i asked questions.
During our last conversation, she hung up the phone on me!
No "bedside manner" and unprofessional behavior.

Dr.kommareddi is an awesome dr. She is passionate about her work and so kind and generous, i would 100% recommend her as your surgeon and also her nurses, they are so nice and calm you through your nervousness.i just want to let you know that Jesus loves you! Thank you

Fantastic doctor and person. Really cares, listens and is intuitive in a remarkable way. I can tell she is kind to her staff as well as they are warm and high functioning. She removed a lycoma from my leg and it went very well.

Dr Kommareddi is a wonderful surgeon and doctor with a stellar bedside manner! My Husband had to have an emergency appendectomy today and she was superb with explaining every detail and answering every question. She absolutely cares about her patients and we appreciate that so much! Thank you so much!
