I have lived here for many years and the land managers Linda and Gil have been great and caring people. They always were available to help if anything was wrong. However a few months ago this property was bought by a new owner that for lack of a better name I would call them a slum lord. The new owner doesn't keep the place running in a manner even required by state tenet law. The owner let one tenet go without any running hot water for 6 weeks and two other tenets have been without any heating or air conditioning for 2 months and at the time of this review (April) still have not fixed the heating/ac in those two units. What this new owner is doing isn't just back practice it's CRIMINAL and they will eventually be either sued or condemned by the city/county/state. On top of all that the apartments were built in the 1950s and are starting to fall apart. Electrical constantly has problems going out, the water pressure is low, and regularly has insect infestations, namely cockroaches. The neighborhood isn't the best either. Homeless people regularly search through the trash bins, people keep throwing huge piles of garbage and old furniture on the sides of the roads, shady looking people constantly loiter around at all hours of the night doing who knows what, and it is not an uncommon sight to see several police cars surrounding a house they are searching or blocking a road were someone was shot. This was a decent place not the long ago, but now between the crappy new owner and the deteriorating neighborhood I am glad I have moved far away from here.
