It’s like living on a lake in the middle of the desert. It’s an active neighborhood where you know your neighbors.
Life in The Lakes means strolling along lakes and creeks, seeing ducks, having amenities like an Olympic swimming pool and volleyball and basketball courts, and invited to watch the sunset on a friend’s boat.
There’s a swim team for kids that competes in the summer, BBQs for holidays, and an active list of neighborhood things to do. Great for biking, jogging and kayaking too.

A terrific facility that is a good place to exercise and relax, staffed by professional who keep it running smoothly. This facility also plays host to numerous parties and gatherings throughout the year. The Lakes' clubhouse is a real asset for people who live in this neighborhood.

You have successfully pulled off a fake lake in the middle of a a suburban neighborhood in a desert. You have done a great job at giving it a nautical or great lake like feel. Especially at the two restaurants! This is a very serene place to walk around and explore. Good job folks!

Always clean and peaceful. This is my thinking spot. I use to call it the "rapids" when I was growing up for some reason, lol. My family has lived in the Lakes area since mid 80's. Great place to live and this is a great area to take pictures especially when trees are in bloom. All 4 of my children's prom pictures were taken here and turned out perfect. Five stars all the way

I have been going to the Lakes Community for many years. I have lived in the Lakes for 5+ years off and on. It's really a hidden gem in my opinion. The weight room is cozy but you can get it in for sure! The pool is huge and very clean. Locker rooms with showers and sauna. All kinds of other activities to. They have basketball courts, racket ball, bocce ball, sand volleyball, ping pong and many others. Great way to find a place to live in the Lakes to on the info wall by the locker rooms. I've found many of the places I've lived right from that wall. Great place!

Very cool place! Safe and fun with a volleyball basketball and a few other courts and a spa, gym, and children’s park.

Relaxing Oasis in the middle of the desert. Friendly people and plenty of water with lots of waterfowl in the spring. If you can get on a boat, you'll see tons of neat houses and landscaping.
