Legacy Martial Arts of Scottsdale AZ

My sons grew up at Legacy. I started taking classes as a very old adult. My one son and I are first degree black belts and my other son is a second degree black belt. We are all proud to have received black belts from Master C and Legacy Martial Arts. I consider Master C and his wife, Laurel, to be an extension of our family. He taught my sons and me how to defend ourselves, but also countless life lessons. I have been among top business leaders, but consider Master C to be not only an incredible karate instructor, but one of the greatest life coaches I have encountered. The Legacy families are also high quality. Needless to say, it you enter the dojo with openness and willingness to learn and stay with it, you will be rewarded with many life changing skills and lifetime friendships.

I owe a lot to who I am as a person to Legacy Martial Arts and the values they've taught me. I had the pleasure of taking classes with these skilled mentors, most notably Master C, more than 15 years ago. It wasn't until last week that I revisited the studio and saw so much positive growth. And while there were numerous changes, some of the things that didn't change were the dedication, passion, and kindness of this school as a whole.

If you are considering a place to go to foster positive growth in yourself or someone you love, this is an absolutely fantastic place to start. Here you will learn more than just martial arts - you'll learn strong morals and how to improve yourself in a sustainable way. You'll also be welcomed into a warm and supportive community filled with others who want the same thing, creating a positive environment for growth and collaboration. I cannot recommend Legacy Martial Arts any more and truly hope they continue to grow.

As great as the training and exercise is for our kids we love the emphasis on responsibility and core values that Master Calantog bases his training on.

The Legacy family has taught me so much. I've been training with them for about 6 years now, and I get better every time I come to class. Not only has karate taught me to how to defend myself, but it has taught me self-discipline, control, patience, confidence, and most of all, humility.

I only took 5 classes so I can give a beginner's perspective. These people are so nice you forget you are learning how to wreck people. Everyone wants to help you learn from Master C down to the white belt standing next to you. They are all really good at fighting but no one is arrogant. They don't change after you pay either. Definitely a five star dojo.

Great family-owned Dojo! It is clean, friendly, and the moral values and mutual respect that are taught and encouraged are a huge plus. All 3 of my kids attend karate lessons here and they all have learned so much in just 6 months! They have gained self-confidence, along with learning self defense, and on top of it all each lesson is a great workout! Master C.and his staff have a positive energy about them that is brought to every lesson. We feel lucky to have found this Dojo and to be a part of the Legacy family!
