I thought my $1,200 Acer Predator Helios laptop was destined for the trash heap. Only 4 years old.what a shame. I brought it into Geek Squad and they gave me a quote of $1,054 to install a new motherboard. I was told it was a corrupted bios, however, they don't do microsoldering and could only replace the entire motherboard. I was now on a mission to find someone here in Tucson that had the skill level to remove a motherboard and microsolder a new, preprogrammed Bios Chip onto the board (the chips are only $22 from the Bios Store on ebay). After two weeks of calling around, I happened upon Joel on Thumbtack and my paper weight of a laptop was humming again. This was a next level repair and only someone very skilled can even attempt to deal with these tiny chips. I highly recommend Joel and Ljjm Tech.

My 64 GB memory card had corrupted suddenly after years of use. I did not have it backed up. I thought I had lost over 2500 photos. I found Joel after reading very good reviews. I was not disappointed.

Everything was very easy. I just dropped off my memory card and picked it back up after a week. Joel was very responsive with phone calls AND text messages through the entire process. You don't see that anymore. He also followed up every step of the way. After only a few days, he was able to recover every photo I had on my SD card! My phone wouldn't even recognize that I had a memory card in the slot. I was very impressed. He is also very fair in his service fee than other places I had contacted.
