Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Tucson AZ

The service and location were exceptional. Hotel is older and rooms could use a few upgrades both aesthetically and technologically but overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend!

It was a pleasure staying at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. The resort and grounds were beautiful, and the view was spectacular from every window. The staff was very friendly and did everything with a smile. I would definitely return to explore the property even more as well as the Ventana Canyon Trail which is just steps away.

The warm and comfortable, yet luxurious feel of this resort is magical. Staff made me feel welcome and I truly felt like I was part of one big happy family.

I am overwhelmed with how incredible everything was during my stay. My arrival and departure experience was awesome; the guys up front were happy to be there. They smiled and offered to help but didn't make me feel bad when I said I'd roll my own bag, the check-in was FUN, the room was lovely (never slept better in the big comfy bed) and each time I dined, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious.

Can't wait to return!

Overall great stay. Everyone was very friendly. Pool staff were great. The food and service were good as well. While not as large of a resort as some in Tucson the amenities we were looking for were there. My husband and I will be back.

The hotel resort was great, but I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a refund, for the last day, that I had to leave early. Still no word on when the refund will be processed.

It does not look like a 4 * to me, or an old one. Your room is overseeing the parking lot first then the city but first is the parking lot. The hallway leading to your room looks like an old style Vegas Casino with matching carpet. Inviting hallways leading to your room.see pic
I paid $340, I got there late around 8 pm.
I did ask for a late check out until 4-5 pm they charge you an extra $50.
This is not worth $400 as a combo.

My favorite Tucson getaway, tucked into a private reserve with wildlife and an easily accessible waterfall. The hotel has a cold-water tub, with another small watferfall flowing into it for a really refreshing experience.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We had the free breakfast deal from AAA membership. First of all, they didn’t mention the free breakfast when we checked in, we had to inquire about it. Second, they charged us for the breakfast we had on Sunday, because apparently on sunday it is brunch and not breakfast and its not covered, when I asked the lady on the front desk about the changes she was a little argumentative and rude. When I pointed out to her that why it is so confusing, how can I eat the same breakfast for 3 days and 1 day it is considered brunch? She later made the changes but never apologized for her rude behavior and the sneaky extra charges. Third, AC was not working properly at night time. Fourth, they didn’t let us do late check out, although it was last day of labour day weekend and parking lot was pretty much empty. Not sure if it was really the unavailability or they didn’t wanted to help us because we are from a different nationality. I wont be visiting here again and would rather take my $$ somewhere else. There are many other resorts around the area. They are very sneaky, so please be specific and ask prices for everything.

This was our second visit this year. Excellent service, we love the grounds and architecture. Everyone is friendly and professional. We enjoyed the laid back vibe, the gym, the pool and the access to hiking. Highly recommend if you need a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful grounds. Service was excellent. A little slow at times, but the manager was great and took care of us. Rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Views are outstanding. Pool area is beautiful!

While the rooms have not been updated much since my last visit, it is still in a stunning location. The Flying V never disappoints and movies in the evenings for kids is always fun. A quick walk to the waterfall makes you forget your in the desert for half a second, but the views are priceless.

We love this resort and always stay here when we come to Tucson. The golf courses are amazing, the food is delicious, the views are gorgeous.

Great service from attentive, but not smothering, staff. Beautiful grounds integrated into the natural landscape. Great base for adventures.
