LongHorn Steakhouse reviews
25Worst place ever they don't know how to cook a steak if you like food that tast good stay away from here
Great atmosphere and the food was unbelievable. Probably the best steak I've ever had and for the price, excellent.
Service slow.salad took 10 min to come out, prime rib was not cooked to specified, mac and cheese was horrible very dry and overcooked, when requested another dish in its place, never received it, mgr George never came by to rectify or find out my experience, Mgr spent way too much time at host stand instead of helping bartender who seemed overwhelm with guest all coming at the same time. Over all horrible experience for being the first time dining here. George did take off mac and cheese but never took off anything for me never receiving my side.
I've been here twice in the past month. Both times my steaks were over done and needed to be re-cooked entirely, and both times I sat and watched the rest of my table eat while I waited for steak #2, and both times I was charged full price for my plate. Once the new steaks came, the meat quality was so so. This last time (2 or 3 days ago), I got the sirloin & shrimp skewer combo.the steak was overdone and the shrimp was maybe "warm" at best. The service was good which is the only reason I give it 2 stars. Food wise however, not good at all.
Don't know what happened but I have been here twice before and it was great. This time, rib eye (I know my cuts and can grill better than most restaurants) and it was 1/3 fat - not marbled like the waiter tried to convince me but pure thick globs of fat and it was cooked to a medium not "very rare. " The waiter stated I did not make the temp clear enough but I repeated my "VERY rare" emphasizing very just like I did when I ordered it. They took it back, the next was marbled not fatty but again the temp was wrong. I was starving. After hearing another table found something terrible in the bottom of the bowl of their salad and another table returned a side dish that the waiter tasted and nearly gagged at the salt amount in it. I sent the steak back and refused to order anything else. I finished my glass of wine - without anything to eat all morning and no time to until evening. They should have covered my wine. I did tip waiter for his efforts so my single glass of wine was pricey. What a shame. But whatever is going on in the kitchen they need to get corrected. I won't be back unless something drastically changes.: (
