MAD Greens - North Scottsdale Rd. & Acoma

Great place. Healthy, quality food at a reasonable price. Usually with quick and health service. Fine assortment of teas and alternative drinks. I frequent this place and am rarely disappointed.

I do love their salads! Sometimes it's hit or miss on finding good romaine lettuce but love the HUGE selection of add-ins. They used to have a FABULOUS jalepeno soup, but sadly it's no longer available.

My partner and I actually love Mad Greens food. This review is based on the service experience we have had over 2 visits to this location, and doesn’t include any negative feedback for the Phoenix location, where we’ve always been treated well and enjoyed the food. This review is specifically focused on one employee. I tweeted and left a voicemail before posting this, in hopes of resolving the issue without a one star review. No response. So here goes. My partner and I have been to a Mad Greens every weekend for lunch since December. We enjoy the food and at least it feels like we’re eating healthy. The first time we encountered the employee in question, we ordered two identical bowls. At this point, I’ll share that I’m overweight. The person helping us looked at me with all seriousness and said “These are both for you, aren’t they? ” Then she looked over at the other person assisting us and they laughed. My partner looked at her and said “why would you say that? But she didn’t answer and stopped any engagement with us. Skip ahead to the weekend of February 9th and she was working again. She was serving a diner ahead of me in line and was cordial and friendly with them. Then she saw me and as she created my entree, she literally stared at me, her face was a ball of contempt and she THREW the food into the prep bowl in an aggressive manner, staring at me the whole time. When it came time to put my salad into a serving bowl, she took the top one, which was noticeably dirty, looking like someone had just wiped the last salad out of it and put it back to use again. She stood there, the bowl in her hand at least 10 seconds, looking at it, then looking at me and she got a little smirk on her face and put my food into the dirty bowl. I was so embarrassed and humiliated that I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t eat it and I didn’t want to create a scene after being through an entire year of PTSD from other issues. The thing is that we’ll be back, but next time she waits on me, I won’t stand for being treated with disrespect.

I’ve eaten at the Scottsdale location 3 times in the last month. Was excited to find this place and like the concept. The first time was good I ordered the southwest bowl, they were out of rice so subbed quinoa, was fine tasted good. I used the bathroom to wash up before ordering and eating, it was pretty dirty. Kinda a red flag. The food was good so went back a second time. Southwest bowl again, had rice this time, food was fine but there were no clean silverware and the dish tub was overflowing. Seemed odd as there was only myself and one other group of three in the place. This week, tonight got the southwest bowl to go, got home to find the rice is barely cooked! Impossible to chew, eat, or enjoy at all! Dinner ruined, not happy, in fact Mad. Now after spending $13 I have to go find something else to eat. Mad. Will not be visiting this Mad Bad place, with Mad Bad management.

I was excited to try! Everything was very fresh and good except I didn't get what I ordered and for what I paid for the total bill I am not happy that I didn't get what I ordered.

I really love Mad Greens. The large salad is big, very big but I always manage to finish it. Very clean, great staff, and tons of menu items. You can build your own bowl or salad - adding or taking items away. The best part of Mad Greens is the blended spice that you can request. It's also for sale, of which I always buy. I know there are a lot of salad choice spots out there but Mad Greens shouldn't be overlooked.

I ordered Southwest bowl, but the rice/grain mix was still hard not fully cooked. Other than that it was delicious.

I love this place and had several of their salads. Wish they were better at cleaning the tables and booths including removing gum from booths.

Ive come here a few times, no more than 5 times. I work up the street within walking distance. I get an hour lunch, so I enjoy that. Anyways, i rate this a 2 star because of the people that work here. The food is great, but I dont like the customer service I’ve encountered so far. Not one good experience with them. Decent is a better word, but not good.

My first time was the worse because the girl that or prepped my salad looked as if she was having a bad day and didnt want to make my food for me. But She did, but didnt ring me up, and just put my plate by the register and walked off without a word.so I’m just standing there thinking she’s gonna come back at some point. Nope. So some random other person rung me up.

I never get an “Hi, Welcome to Mad Greens”, or “Hi, welcome in” or “Hey. How’s it going? What can i get started for you? ” All the faces are as if they don’t wanna be there, as if its tension. The manager I’m assuming is this white lady who never smiles as well. The mood is off at this place I dunno whats going on. I like the style/set up and atmosphere of the place. But with the mood off and mediocre customer service, makes me wanna go elsewhere. Salad N’ Go, whole Foods Market, etc.

Also when leaving the plates, bowls, and silverware are always packed to the rim, some tables are not wiped off. Poor Management is probably what the issue is here. This is Scottsdale man. Upper echelon of Phoenix, get some better people in here. These people here act as if this is 19th and Indian school road or something. GEEZ.

Put simply, the best wrap I've ever had, and I'm typically not a fan of wraps. There are other options, but the Southwest Wrap is absolutely fantastic - and filling! I became hooked on MAD Greens and it is my go-to place whenever I'm in town.

This place is Amazing! First time trying out a “salad” place, and I was blown away.
It was Quick, Fresh, and Absolutely Delicious.

Honestly the salad here is possibly the only one where I will eat everything. Recommend the mad spice.

Don’t put a new person behind the line making the food. Forgot to add the rice so when they went back to add it, right on top, it didn’t have enough dressing when I ordered it to have medium dressing. It wasn’t really enjoyable.

Placed an order on DoorDash. I had an edit I needed to make to the order so I tried calling the physical location. They wouldn’t answer, so I had to cancel the order. Answer your phones.

Horrible place I order a salad with chicken nothing complicated and the chicken was raw what was supposed to be something delicious was a very bad experience

Today was my first time trying MAD Greens and I loved it. I had a spicy Ty Cobb salad and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

We were visiting the Scottsdale are and really wanted a good salad. We found this place and the salad was good and they had fairly fresh ingredients. When we arrived all the three staff members where in the back and I could see at least two on their phones. The trash was about to overflow from the trash cans. Many of the tables had not been cleaned and there were numerous bowls sitting in the return bin. They had plenty of workers but they were not doing what they were hired to do. The place was just dirty from people not doing their job!
