Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The Buttes reviews
16This unique resort has everything you need for an amazing escape. There's something for everyone here. The staff is amazing and I greatly appreciate Kim at the front desk who went above and beyond to help me with a specific need
It's a beautiful resort, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We'd stay there again.
Friendly staff, good food, and always plenty of parking. The pool is so nice and if you are having a wedding here, this is perfect place! Plenty of spots for photos!
Hotel had great views, but thats pretty much it. Valet guys were EXTREMELY rude. We waited 15 minutes for someone to help us and there was no one. When we finally had someone from valet to talk to they were rude inconsiderate and just plain awful. Room smelled like cigarette smoke, and was not very clean. Will not be staying here again.
The staff is extremely attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful. Special thank you to the supervisor, Bri, and to Jorge Munoz for next level customer service. Employees such as these two is what sets Marriott apart from the others. Thank you!
My room was not ready at check in time I had to wait by the pool after driving 5 hours. The hotel hall way and room smells like a casino full of cigarette smoke. Beautiful scenery but not good service.
A nice resort like property. They've bounced back from the pandemic nicely. Everything was open on property but the Spa. Friendly staff and very clean! I'll be back.
The resort was not was I was expecting. It’s rather old, outdated and in desperate need of a remodel. The grounds were interesting with different levels of pools but the lounge chairs were old and uncomfortable and the area needed a good cleaning. The bathroom in the room was very small and hard to move around in. The beds were lumpy and the bedding seemed dirty and dingy. The hallways smelled bad like perfumes trying to cover up old cigarette smoke. I bet this hotel was cool back when it was first built but it definitely is not now. The staff were friendly and they accommodated us with early check in and late check out but I still would not return. One last thing- we saw a hair wad hanging from the ceiling in the hallway! Yuck!
Rooms dated, carpet could have been cleaner. View from check-in nice, location seems great but not impressed with the room.
Upscale property good pool action but not enough lounge chairs. Nice rooms.typical Marriott.
Nice staff.
An older hotel for sure. Slow elevator service expect to wait awhile. The views were very nice overlooking Phoenix. They do a nice job for breakfast. Don't expect a quiet stay when you stay here. The hotel sits on a bluff right above I-10 freeway so you will hear the roar of traffic throughout the night with thin windows.
This place is in desperate need of remodeling! The rooms and hallways smell musty, moldy and are dirty! The pools and hot tubs need to be cleaned. Just totally needs to be revamped. It's a shame they have let it go because the views and outside natural landscape is gorgeous! You have to Uber everywhere because there are no restaurants nearby to walk to unless you want to eat at Top of the Rock, which is pretty pricey! Definitely don't recommend staying here until they decide to clean this place up!
Awesome pool, nice rooms, very well kept. When you walk into the corridor it smells amazing! Also love the fresh strawberry, melon or cucumber water they always have available to ensure their guest stay hydrated.
I don't know what to expect because it's a last minute decision to take a weekend get away vacation. This hotel is in a secluded area, nice ambiance, city overlooking, clean rooms, pool spa, accommodating guest relations (Isaac and Breanna) in front desk, (Josie) in cafeteria very cheerful and pleasant.
I will definitely comeback next year and this place I want to stay, peaceful & relaxing mini get-away from a busy life in California.
I liked this place! Pretty unique. Every person on the resort I encountered was amazing, whether at front desk, pool, bar or gift shop. Even short staffed, they went above and beyond. The pool area was a strong point as were the views. Yes, like other reviewers have noted, the place is older and probably due for some updates but the hotel has lots of personality IMO.
