Hotel Maswik Lodge reviews
13 We stayed here with kids. The room was clean and looked great.
The breakfast was mediocre but atmosphere was so good. Highly recommend
Not very satisfied occupant. Over priced lodge and overpriced food court. Not going to Grand Canyon again. Not recommended booking at maswik lodge. Maswik food court the foods are so overpriced and not very good at all.
Rooms clean and spacious.
Front desk very helpful.
Considering the food court a service - this was a catastrophe from the food quality to the service, cleanliness and price.
The south lodges are newly renovated. Comfortable beds, nice balconies. (Seats need a cushion) if taking a sunset or sunrise tour pickup is in front of the lodge so that is really convenient. A bus stop in front of the lodge takes you around the park.
In order to watch the sunrise, sunset and stargazing of the Grand Canyon, I chose to live in the national park, and I was not disappointed. It was so worth it!
There is a simple kitchen in the room, complete with pots and pans, as long as you bring your own ingredients, you can prepare meals in the room, which is very practical!
We will never stay at Maswik Lodge again. The room was overpriced, absolutely disgusting and smelled horrible! The food court is way overpriced and the food was nasty.
The location itself was quiet and nice but not enough to justify spending $350+ a night for lodging.
Never ever again!
We had Pinyon Pine room 6855. It was ok, just fine.
Sink outside bathroom was convenient. Ice machine was outside. Parking in front. Stairs only, so you'll have to bring your luggage up yourself. It is on the blue bus line. It's a bit farther from the south rim than the other hotels, but still in the park. Less crowded for general parking, as we stayed another half day after checking out.
Excellent location, clean rooms, an patio porch views. Food is cafateria style, and very well prepared!
The first thing I noticed was how beautiful it looks on the way there. When I got there, the air felt so fresh and nice to breathe in. That was a nice surprise! There's so many ways to get around, too. There's bikes, shuttle busses, train, helicopter, and jeep tours. The food costs more than I am used to, but it's probably because it's so close to a national park. One thing I should've brought was a flash light because at night there aren't many lights on outside. They do that for the purpose of seeing the stars.
Best rooms clean little hard on pelows and clean smells great and not run down well cept up.
Our room was dirty. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. We did the AAA package. Took the train from Williams so didn't have a car. They placed us way in the back. Quite the walk from the main hub where you check in. We were not impressed.
Booked 18 months in advance. No ability to check in early, so everyone shows up to check at the same time. Ended up waiting 1.5 hours before getting my room assignment and key. This after 5 days on the river and 7 hours hiking out. They run the hotel like they cook in the food court.
Really enjoyed the stay. Our view from the room outside was the woods. Which I loved & I saw a couple of deers just relaxing outside our window
