Great local coffee roasting outfit with simple coffee drinks and specialty coffee drinks. Conveniently located on the way into / out of the downtown area.

My husband and I are in town for a couple weeks and decided to try Matador coffee in flagstaff since it’s near the hotel we are staying at. Within hours of eating here and I started feeling really sick. I know I have food poisoning because I have had it in the past. I should of went with my gut and not have eaten here. The counter was not wiped down and neither were the couple of tables in there. Disgusting! I would give no stars if I could.

Our trip here was almost comical. The parking is terrible for starters. When we got inside we waited for approximately 3 or 4 minutes before they said they’re busy and catching up on drinks. We waited patiently for another 5 minutes before they finally took our order. They didn’t have the one drink we stopped here for so we just ordered an Arnold Palmer. We waited for another 10 minutes watching them make multiple other coffee drinks for people that came in after us. I reminded them we were just waiting for an ice tea, now having been here for about 20 mins. She said they’re busy making drinks and she would do her best. We waited another couple minutes before she walked back and realized some rose flavored ice tea had just been sitting on the counter for awhile. She poured that into a cup and went looking for lemonade. Eventually she came back in and said “we don’t have lemonade so, raspberry tea! ” And borderline slammed the watered down tea on the counter. We said we’d just like our money back and she got frustrated and then asked if we remembered how much we paid. We didn’t get a receipt so she just gave us $5.10,5.86 was our total. So we paid this place. 76 cents to sit in their hot dining room for 30ish minutes. To top it all off, the girl making the drinks was wearing a dirty sleeveless shirt with her hairy sweaty arm pits open to the air as she’s reaching over the counter where the drinks are made. Please dress appropriately if you are working in food service. That’s unhygienic. Also they were out of dog treats, so even my dog was disappointed.

Very fast service and good quality espresso. I got a latte and my partner got a Macchiato. Both cups had notes of sweetness. This coffee shop knows how to make a great cup. I would go here again.

Easily the friendliest coffee shop in Flag. After coming here for years the owner Mario and Mandee have become friends. Quality of the coffee is always on point too!

This place is a little jump. They have great food and amazing coffee. Every time I am in Flagstaff I swing by this place to grab a couple brew. And what's really amazing is I order their coffee online to have it shipped to Phoenix on a regular basis.

Take Some Back East With U ️

One of my favorite coffee shops hands down. I've been a fan since they were still in the valley back in the day. I try to stop in every time I'm in Flagstaff so I can stock up. Fun fact: 32Shea brews their coffee here in the valley so I can still support them regularly in Phoenix too.

This is by far the BEST coffee in flagstaff. Everything is roasted in house and they always have amazing deals on pounds of coffee. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and make the experience truly unique. 100% recommend if you are a true coffee lover.

Coffee is good and the staff working were very friendly - feels like a nice college coffee shop. You get free refills while you're there on black coffee. Internet was good, but there is only one or two accessible outlets in the cafe so make sure you're charged up before you get there.

I enjoyed my short visit to this coffee shop. Its unique and the gentleman who helped me was super nice and accommodating. I was the only person there and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. I plan to buy espresso beans the next time I'm in Flag. It's a welcoming and fun environment.

If I could I would give it a 1. I went in with 2 coupons for 25 bucks that I was given for a gift and they would not honor them. Why sell them if not going to redeem them. They said something about somebody copying them and using them illegally well that's not mmu problem they should have quit offering their services as a gift certificate. Customer service is just getting worse and worse!

I was highly disappointed in this place. I have stopped by several times since it has opened and the coffee was good, the staff knowledgeable, and courteous. The female staff there today just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. No smile, didn't know what kid of roast she had in store. When I asked for the whiskey barrel aged beans she told me she didn't have any in store. Wow what kind of place doesn't have their own beans especially since they roast it on site! I ordered a honduran pour over with raw sugar. Again she let me know after the fact that there was no raw sugar. Please find someone that cares about coffee and customers.

Its really hard to turn into the matador parking lot if you are not coming from the direction of downtown which was a inconvenience. There is not a lot of parking. My oat milk vanilla latte was quite bad, but my friends really liked their americanos. Wish they had food options for after they close breakfast at noon.

Amazing experience! Came here 2 days in a row. Both coffee and latte were amazing. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito made fresh in house.

My husband and I stopped at Matador for a couple iced coffee drinks and a bagel before heading out for our day. Service was great, drinks were large, and the bagel was toasted with plenty of cream cheese. Very welcoming coffee shop.

Excellent fresh roasted coffee beans. Large variety of roasts and blends. Great menu of coffee and tea drinks. Reasonable prices for great quality.

Getting to this coffee shop can be tricky at times due to traffic. When open, the coffee and service has been good. It is significantly frustrating to navigate traffic only to find that the booth is closed and you can't tell unless you drive in. And parking is so limited it makes it difficult to visit. I typically avoid visiting here unless I am sure that they are open and able to help me. Fortunately there is another place down the road that is more consistent and convenient.

Just sat at the drive thru 4 over 5 minutes and nobody helped us? Drove past the store and there weren’t any customers either.if your drive thru is closed put up a sign.
