Maverik Adventure's First Stop, Holbrook AZ

This Place Was Great, Bathrooms Was Clean, In Working Order & We Got Some Good Snacks For Traveling Purposes.

Maverick normally is a great fill station to stop at, however in this case, the experience was poor.
Maverick logistics was late to replenish their gas and diesel with their Maverick logistics drivers. The driver didn’t pulling until after my father-in-law had pulled up to the pump. The Maverick driver rushed in and put out his cones behind the camper my father-in-law was pulling behind the truck. My father-in-law needed to back up a bit so the did and the Maverick logistics driver went to hell at my father in law for what he said was “Jack-knifing” into the drivers cones?
The driver had lied and took photos of the truck and camper trailer we were pulling as they were yelling vulgarly at my father-in-law and boyfriend.
Calmly I told both drivers they needed to have more customers service with there customers. However, they blew up at me as well. They took pictures of me, my father-in-law and my boyfriend.

We stopped at the Maverick on 491 in Gallup NM and what a mess. Half the pumps were not working, the bathrooms were a mess and the staff was non caring and lazy. We normally love to stop at Maverick but not this one!

If i had given a review yesterday it would have been far different. I've parked here after work as they've had clean restrooms, good snacks, good lighting, and I get my gas here. The staff has always been very nice. After my husband passed away I just don't like going home too early. I read, steam shows, sew, then go home after midnight. I was told I can't spend the night here. I've never stayed the night here! I live about a mile away. So I guess, I'll take my business elsewhere. Probably for the best as I spent quite a bit there anyway. I work with a lot of tourists who ask where to go locally. The business manager has made Maverick and this particular one a hostile space. Makes me sad.

It's not Maverick's fault, but I have to give 1 star because my credit card got skimmed here. Holbrook is a fairly crime ridden town so if you must stop for fuel here, you might want to put a freeze on your card after purchasing just in case.

Stopped for a quick bathroom break. Was a very busy and hoping spot today but the guy at the register was rocking it. We decided to buy 2 pairs of sunglasses. Restrooms needed some attention but that happens with how busy the location is and short staffed. Very convenient location. Thanks!

Clean and efficient place to stop for snacks, gas, and great fresh brewed coffee. Could use a bit more variety in the energy drink department but not bad. I miss when Maverick had frozen yogurt!

It's a great place to stop for I-40 travelers with easy access from the freeway. There's a variety of quality items to choose from. Restrooms were clean and sanitized.

The manager went above and beyond. She was amazing and I would recommend that you stop here for the best customer service in the world. Clean and clean. Staff was very helpful and polite.
