Maverik Adventure's First Stop reviews
7Definitely one of my go to pitstop almost every time I come up to Showlow. I must say the bonfire food was much better when Cassie was in charge of the kitchen. For the most part item, stay in stock and are still a decent price. I recommend this location over the Taylor location any day of the week.for the most part, the staff is pretty friendly, despite they have a ridiculous turnover rate.
This is the only place in show low with good gas and the only place I will get gas
Clean restrooms here. Also, I enjoyed the murals on the walls.
We had cappuccinos, which were good. I usually make my cappuccino and then add some of the dark roast coffee for added energy on road trips. The coffee at this station was disbursed by machines rather than self-serve pots, illuminating the option of only getting a small amount. Thank goodness for me, a kind helpful employee offered to share some of her coffee that she was getting so that I was able to receive only a small amount to perfect my cappuccino. I neglected to get her name, but I would like to thank her again so much for sharing with me!
My pit stop at your station was rewarded with the perfect cappuccino (mainly one that is not too sweet but also strong enough to do the job) BECAUSE of the generosity of your employee!
I would suggest having at least one regular pot of coffee available for this reason. By the way, the coffee machines were also a bit confusing, and I wasn't the only customer who needed a smaller amount of coffee than the machines gave. This is my only reason for reducing to a 4-star rating.
Employees are rude. Restroom was closed so they can clean and no apologies. Just straight up rude.
Great place, good snack options. Cheap gas (compared to southern Arizona)
Maverick was good.
If you have an RV and are passing through you can get both potable water (from the trucker fill side in the middle pump) and dump here. For free.
Easily accesible for big rigs and right off the highway.
