McAlister's Deli reviews
20The family always enjoys the sandwiches we get here. I always have the reuban (get the bread extra toasted) they serve the second best reuban sandwich I have ever had.
Super friendly and helpful employees! Oh yeah, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend going here!
Pretty good food. Real fresh. And the portions aren't "Panera Bred" pretentious.
This was my first time at McAlister’s Deli. The exterior of the building is as cute as the inside. I had the 1/2 sandwich and salad. The chicken salad was very good and the croissant was perfectly crispy to balance the creaminess the the chicken salad. The side garden salad was a good size salad and the ranch was great. The coke had the right amount of fizz.
Great for lunch or an early dinner but don’t come here after 6pm. The food is so bad after 6, it’s like you’re just getting whatever is leftover from the day. I’ve been coming to this location for about 5 years now and not once have I had a decent dinner. Lunch has always been great, though! The prices are kind of steep for the food portions. Seeing prices go up but portions stay the same really sucks. Especially when half the time my sandwich is smaller than the time before.
Took too long, the food sucked and the staff are patronizing. Spare yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.
The food was tasty but the portions are WAY too small. I paid almost 15 dollars for a sandwich with an upgraded side of Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was barely a few ounces and the sandwich was over in a few bites. I could have easily eaten more than double what they gave me. I'm not paying 15 dollars to leave a restaurant hungry. Will unfortunately not be returning.
EDIT: Decided to give this place another chance today. Picked up togo order and service has improved tremendously. Friendly staff, and quality of food matches the expectations set by other locations.
Original: Quality compared to the ones back east is lacking, but the issue I have is what appears to be a lack of caution. Picked up a togo order today, and the guy behind the counter was eating lunch. Didn't wash his hands, didn't put on a mask, grabbed my food and made my drink. During normal circumstances, this would be poor choices in a food industry, during this crisis, this was actually kind of insane to me. I probably wouldn't have come back to this location due to the lower quality, but definitely not returning when guidelines are being ignored.
They just canceled my order with grub hub after delaying it over an hour. The restaurant was rude when I called. They don’t deserve a good rating.
These 5 stars are for the person who drew a cat on my receipt. Thank you for your service.
I had the baked spud potatoes with bacon and Cheddar as well as one of their salads! The salad was fresh and served in a large portion! It was delicious and I will be visiting again to try their other selections!
This was my 1st time at a McAlisters and I was McWowed!
I had the New Southwest Steak spud with mac & cheese, cucumber salad, broccoli c
heddar soup, large signature ice tea & last but not least NY double chocolate cheesecake.
The spud entree was top five I ever had with alot of succulent steak slices, cheddar cheese sour scream and the potato was huge-enough food for a whole day and only $12 is a great value.
The mac & cheese was perfect-thick, creamy & delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was also a top five ever item for me!
The NY double choc.cheesecake was rich, dense and super delicious. It satisfied my regular chocolate craving.
Service by Manager Hector, counter staff Tara & Ryan was top 1% at any restaurant I've patronized. This restaurant is run extremely well!
The dining area is large, very clean with a pleasant upbeat ambience.
This is the best deli restaurant I've been to in Tempe and top five in Arizona.
It’s not everyday let alone often you see a homeless person come into a restaurant and they get treated with respect and dignity like the many of us who are not and get that kind of respect ; we should really count our blessings! They staff treated this man just like a “normal” person. They were so gracious kind and even Went out of their way! Seriously made my day and this company should be so proud to have a staff that does it right! Well done! Keep it up and continue to show respect and kindness to all!
Sloppy. Rip off. Subway is cheaper and the quality is clear. This was more like a kids meal. Definitely not worth 15$. I would pay 6$ for what I got. I can spend 12$ at the grocery store and make 10 sandwiches much better than this. It was my first time here and my food was sad.
One if the worst sandwiches I have ever had. I got the cheese sandwich because it was the only vegetarian sandwhich option. I expected a grilled cheese however that I'd not at all what I got. I recieved a waremed up mess that was soaking wet from all the grease. Seems like it was warmed up in the microwave because there was no toast on the bread irself. Threw the whole soggy sandwich away. Do better.
Great deli! I've ordered from them a couple times now (unfortunately had to use a food delivery service because I'm stuck at the office) and both times the food was received fresh & hot and really delicious! I'd much rather go to them than pay a service to deliver & keep a substantial portion of their bottom line also but when I'm stuck at work I have very few options.
Great food. I'm not normally one to get a sandwich but my wife loves this place so I gave it a try. Best sandwiches I've had. Simple, good food and great service.
I'm not even vegetarian, but the veggie sandwich is so good. Also loving the the sherry shallot vinaigrette for my salad. Disappointed that my doordash driver forgot my lemonade, but I will definitely be coming here in person sometime to try more of the menu
The food was nasty broccoli cheddar to much cheddar cheese in the soup and the spud max was nasty as well they hardly put any bacon on it over cook the potato I will never buy another soup or spud from this place again there staff is not friendly poor customer service
Great sandwiches! They never disappoint. Great amount of food for the money. Quality ingredients too. Susan at the counter is always friendly, if a little frazzled from the lunch rush.
