Gee this place appeared to be out of business, gas pumps did not function.

On a road trip (I'm from Chicago) my car broke down, with family in tow, some 10 miles away from McNeal Merchantile. I was lucky to hitch hike there most of my way there from a big rig who stopped for me. When I explained my problem to the owner (John?), he couldn't leave his post but was nice enough to have one of his sons drive me back to my distressed vehicle - and - son of a gun - was able to fix the problem (electrical) and get me back ob the road - once I got back on the road, I just kept on going (being too scared to stop, with family in tow, in the g*d forsaken Arizona) - but I feel rather guilty for not having the opportunity, and will never forget the personal generosity - extended to me from this simple.local businessman - who helped out a traveler in need - who didn't even purchased an item from his store - but i'll be sure to redress this transaction on my next roadtrip:) johnsoprych-at-gmail-dot-com.

Friendly people, friendly down home atmosphere, average prices, on a trip this is a good place to stop and rest.

There's really not much of anything here as far as snacks go. Very, very limited selection of chips and limited selection of bottled soda. That's it honestly. Cash only

Dirty place, looks like the campaign HQ for the GOP. I only stopped for ice but the owner wouldn't let me enter wearing a protective mask, which I was for his protection as much as my own.
